PRIME returns to the airwaves tonight at 10PM EST/7PM PST with ReVival 13! The card has a PPV feel to it with a boatload of big-time match-ups. Let’s take a look…
FLAMBERGE vs. TONY GAMBLE
The rookie sensation from Strasbourg, France is on a roll, notching his fist PPV win against Darin Zion and a duke over the legendary Garbage Bag Johnny. He’s recently butted heads with another spotlight talent in Nate Colton, a second-generation star out of Evansville, Indiana. FLAMBO’s task tonight? Find a way to outwit PRIME Hall of Famer, Tony Gamble, whose return to wrestling at the Great American Nightmare has not endeared him to the locker room…not that that’s a surprise to anyone.
LARRY TACT vs. JACOB MEPHISTO
The decorated veteran, Larry Tact, has had himself a rough go in PRIME so far. Winless, and with a chip on his shoulder the size of Central Park, he’s recently turned his attention to calling out another veteran of the sport in Dusk, who recently announced his intentions to retire at ReVival 11. Tonight, Tact will take on The Patriarch, Jacob Mephisto, in what will be a technical slugfest with a side of mind games. Mephisto, the current SHOOT Project Iron Fist champion, will have his work cut out for him with Tact and will also have to keep an eye out for “The Muse” Anna Daniels, with whom he’s embroiled in a cross-promotion conflict.
DARIN ZION vs. DAVID FOX
It’s the Self-Love Man against The Wife Guy! Darin Zion has been spreading the word of the LOVE CONVOY and holding down the fort for his 2Become1 brethren, Jonathan-Christopher and Vickie Hall, as the couple are on a short leave of absence for family weddings. David Fox, one half of the Dangerous Mix alongside Mushigihara, has been annoyed at every turn by the wily Masters of the Multiverse…B-Team. Which tag team specialist will come out on top in singles competition?
PETE WHEALDON vs. CANCER JILES
Pete Whealdon picked up his first PRIME win in a triple-threat match against Tony Gamble and Larry Tact at ReVival 11, and the decade-plus veteran is looking to keep that streak going against ol’ Salt Shoes himself, “COOL” Cancer Jiles. Whealdon and Jiles are both DEFIANCE alumni but their paths have wildly diverged since their time in the New Orleans-based company. Jiles is currently antagonizing Julian Bathory before their clash at UltraViolence next month, and the King of COOLYMPUS can’t afford a misstep along the way.
GREAT SCOTT vs. PAXTON RAY
Fan favorite GREAT SCOTT came up just short in his bid for the Five Star (of David) Title at ReVival 12 against “The Escape Artist,” Rezin. However, with a newly minted PWA deal and ALL OF THE MEATS behind him, he’s looking to shake off that loss and refocus. It’ll be no easy task against Paxton Ray, the tough-nosed Lafayette brawler who makes up one-half of the tag team Fighting For Nora. This will be Paxton’s first ever singles match in his career and to say he’s been thrown into the fire would be an understatement.
BOBBY DEAN vs. HAYES HANLON
Speaking of Fighting For Nora, lovable loser Bobby Dean and his fellow eGG Bandit, Doozer, are currently antagonizing both Paxton Ray and his teammate, “The New Life” Jonathan Rhine. Eggs and Berries have been hurled on every show since ReVival 11, with the FFN boys unable to avoid the food fights. Tonight, Bobby takes on the former Five Star champion, Hayes Hanlon, who already has one win over the Bandits when he defeated Cancer Jiles a month ago. “The Event Horizon” will need to keep his focus if he wants to go two-up on the Emperors of eGGs and not let his recent conflict with Impulse distract him.
TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
KINGS OF POPSICLES (C) vs. SOLID GOLD ROCK ‘N ROLL
The KOP (King Blueberry and Reina Raspberry) put on a classic at the Great American Nightmare when they defeated Fighting For Nora to win the inaugural Tag Team Survivor competition and be crowned the first tag champs of the ReVival Era. Their first defense won’t be a walk in the park, however, as the hard rockin’ duo of Solid Gold Rock ‘n Roll are looking to make the KOP one-and-done champions. “Boogie” Barry Delgado and “Electric Boots” Trent Sadikaj have won over the PRIMEates with style and panache both in the ring and out, and this match is their biggest one to date.
BRANDON YOUNGBLOOD (C) vs. PHIL ATKEN
When Brandon Youngblood won the inaugural Almasy Invitational at Culture Shock over “COOL” Cancer Jiles, it was like a weight had been lifted. All his past failures and short-comings were shed in victory and “The Pariah” finally felt like he was home. He’s been unstoppable since January, is one of the few undefeated members of the roster left, and has contended with adversaries from every direction. This may be the toughest match of his career as he puts the Universal Title up against The Glue Factory’s Humble Proprietor, Phil Atken, who has cut a swarth through PRIME with no intention of slowing down. This fight is a watershed moment for Atken, who returned from ten years away bitter and committed to right the wrongs he’s felt were perpetrated against him from his time in companies long dead. Will Atken be able to knock down the Tower of Babel? Or will Youngblood be the one to put Atken down where he stands?
