2/7-Wrestling Night in the Heartland on HOTv and PWA-TV
#1 CONTENDER’S MATCH-WOMEN’S DIVISION: #1 Victoria McGill vs. #2 Shizuko Yamazaki
-Victoria McGill has had a rough few weeks. A loss to Anna Daniels at the PWA-01 show and then she loses the Women’s Title decisively to Daryn Thompson at the St. Louis supershow.
-Tonight, she tries to get back on track with a win over Yamazaki.
-One year ago, Shizuko Yamazaki won the Women’s Title from Lisa Barbosa-Stevens. Five months later, Tori McGill dethroned her and won the belt. Now seven months later, these two collide again.
-Yamazaki has been coming on strong. She brushed aside Lisa Barbosa-Stevens and last week defeated Yosemite Samantha. Tonight, she aims to take that next forward.
MEN’S TAG TEAM TITLE: The Stevens Dynasty © vs. #1 The Alabama Gang
-The Alabama Gang are riding high. R.G. Jenkins and Mark Hendry are the reigning HOTv Tag Team Champions. They’ve just successfully defended the titles this past weekend at sVo’s Showdown 145. And tonight is the night they’ve been waiting for- they’ve got The Stevens Dynasty in the ring for the MVW Men’s Tag Team title.
-The Stevens Dynasty have been nearly unbeatable in their nine-month title reign. Yeah, the Kardoucheian Empire nicked a win from them via disqualification a few weeks back but other than that, Bo and George Stevens have been unstoppable in MVW.
-Tonight, they face the Alabama Gang for the second time with the title on the line. Bo and George won their first encounter back in November. Can the Stevens Dynasty derail the Alabama Gang’s momentum and retain the belts again?
-This should be a good one.
MEN’S TITLE: ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson © vs. #1 Captain Jack
-Captain Jack is back to take another shot… another shot at the Men’s Title after he earned this opportunity with a win over John O’Reilly late last year. Can the swashbuckling buccaneer pull off the upset?
-Bill Dickinson is coming off an impressive trifecta of victories over O’Reilly cumulating with the successful title defense at the St. Louis Supershow two weeks ago. Will Dickinson continue to dominate the division?
