3/14-WRESTLING NIGHT IN THE HEARTLAND ON HOTv AND PWA-TV

The first of four matches on the card kicks off with a match for the #5 contender’s ranking in the Women’s Tag Team Division between the current #5 The Working Girls (C.J. Lewis and ‘Queen Cool’ Leah Iris) and youngsters Laney Harrison and McLean Oswald.  Lewis and Iris are long-time MVW veterans and former Women’s Tag Team champions.  Harrison and Oswald are another young tag team that’s emerged from Joe Bergman’s Barn.  If Lewis and Iris win, they stay in the division.  If Harrison and Oswald win, they are promoted to the Women’s Tag Team Division and The Working Girls fall out.

Match number two of the night will pit former four-time Women’s champion and current #4 ranked contender in the Women’s Division Lisa Barbosa-Stevens versus the #1 contender in the Women’s Heartland Division Victoria McGill.  Barbosa-Stevens has fallen down the rankings in the past few weeks and now faces the drop should she lose to McGill tonight.  McGill went to Japan last month and as a result dropped from #2 contender in the Women’s Division to the #1 contender in the Women’s Heartland Division.  A win tonight for McGill would promote her back to the Women’s Division and relegate Barbosa-Stevens to the Women’s Heartland Division.  A Barbosa-Stevens win would keep her in the Women’s Division and McGill in the Heartland Division.

Match number three will be a #2 versus #3 match in the Men’s Division between John O’Reilly and Ricky Stevens.  O’Reilly is a former Men’s champion and possesses a dangerously lethal right hand.  O’Reilly has also improved his in-ring skills dramatically over the past two years to become a top four contender for the Men’s title.  Ricky Stevens is a product of the Stevens Dynasty.  Stevens made it to #1 in the contender’s ranking and lost to Men’s Champion ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson.  Stevens then dropped down to #4 but looks to get himself back into title contention.   Winner gets the #2 ranking; loser the #3.

And in the main event, MVW Men’s Tag Team Champions (also HOTv Tag Team Champions) The Alabama Gang (R.G. Jenkins and Mark Hendry) will face Kenny Cannon and Ross McClure.  Jenkins and Hendry are coming off a tough count out loss to the Stevens Dynasty last week that did not cost them the MVW Tag Team belts.  They are coming up and what will be a tough week at the end of the month.  First on March 26th, Jenkins and Hendry will defend the HOTv Tag Team titles against High Octane Wrestling’s Dan Ryan and Jatt Starr.  Then on April 4th in Des Moines, Iowa, The Alabama Gang will defend the MVW Tag belts against the winner of next Tuesday’s Stevens Dynasty-Surf Express Bro match.

Also scheduled for the show:
-Men’s Champion ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson
-Women’s Tag Team #1 Contenders Jill Berg Enterprises with CEO Jill Berg
-Cary Stevens and the Men’s Tag Team #1 Contenders The Stevens Dynasty
-Women’s Division #1 Contender Jennifer Colton

Highlights from The Shamrocks (Tom Flynn/Sean O’Grady) win last Saturday over the Kardoucheian Empire (Koley and Kourtney Kardoucheian) on Saturday night.
Before the bell, Kris Kardoucheian gets on the microphone and demands the Shamrocks ‘put over’ his sons.
-That doesn’t happen.  Flynn and O’Grady dominate the match.  The Kardoucheians implode and Flynn pins Koley for the win.

This is followed by the Kardoucheians’ latest major meltdown.  They attack Flynn and O’Grady.  Surf Express Bro come out and makes the save.

MVW Security comes screaming down the ramp and Kardoucheians make a hasty exit.

Kellie Burkowski interviews the Women’s Tag Team Champions- The Hanson Sisters (Andrea and Melissa Hanson)
Coach Reg promises more of the same from her girls. They will fight Jill Berg Enterprises for 20, 39, 40 minutes, whatever it takes for the Hansons to retain the titles next Tuesday in Chicago.

MATCH #2 The Stevens Dynasty (Bo and George Stevens) vs. The Action Stars (‘The Least Dangerous Man in the World’ John Wack and Bob Zardoz)
George Stevens starts as well as John Wack.  George immediately hits a nasty body slam to Wack.  Then Wack walks into a spike slam. George tags out to Bo Stevens and Bo arm drags Wack over.  Coover… 1… 2.. kickout by John Wack.  Slingshot clothesline by Bo and he tags George back in. The Stevens Dynasty whip Wack into the ropes and hit a double clothesline. George covers… 1… 2… shoulder up! That was close. Wack goes low on George and makes the tag with Bob Zardoz.  Flying shoulder tackle by Zardoz does nothing to a pissed off George.  Powerslam to Zardoz and Zardoz immediately tags back out to a reluctant John Wack. Lariat to Wack. George covers… 1… 2… Wack kicks out and scrambles back to his corner to tag Zardoz back.  Another power slam by George.  He tags Bo back in and he greets Zardoz with a kick to the face. Another high kick by Bo and that sets Zardoz up for the Rolling Cutter! Cover 1… 2… THREE!

WINNER: The Stevens Dynasty

Bo and George win in a tune up match for their big showdown next week against Surf Express Bro.

Replay of Cary Stevens’s interview with Kellie Burkowski from Wrestling Night in the Heartland
Cary is still really upset about the count-out that gave the Stevens Dynasty the win over The Alabama Gang but not the Men’s Tag Team Title and accuses. The Alabama Gang of slipping a brown envelope of money to referee Ron Martin to make sure they didn’t lose the title.  He says his boys aren’t taking this sitting down.  The Alabama Gang may have put one over on them but next time, he will make sure the ‘right’ result comes from the match.

CEO Jill Berg -Jill Berg Enterprises Promo
Berg says Ray McAvay’s edict to keep JBE from being at ringside during two important title matches is patently unfair.  She’s called him for an emergency meeting to demand he overturns his decision.  She claims Jill Berg Enterprises is as strong as ever and says The Hanson Sisters are next to fall and all the gold will once again be with Jill Berg Enterprises. Jill Berg Enterprises means business.
