Wrestling Night in the Heartland from the Joseph Gentile Center in Chicago, Illinois.
The first match will be a number one contender’s match in the Men’s Tag Team Division. Former Men’s Tag Team champions The Stevens Dynasty lost the belts in January to The Alabama Gang (R.G. Jenkins and Mark Hendry). Family patriarch Cary Stevens is bound and determined to make sure Bo and George Stevens regain the titles- especially after they defeated The Alabama Gang two weeks ago by a count-out but did not win the titles back. First, they must get past the team they met four weeks ago- Surf Express Bro. Bowie Abrams and Bradlee Nelson have steadily moved up the rankings over the past few months and came close to defeating the Stevens four weeks ago. Abrams and Nelson will be looking to break through and earn their own title shot against the Alabama Gang.
Match number two will be the Women’s Tag Team Title rematch between champions The Hanson Sisters and the challengers- and former champions- Jill Berg Enterprises. The Hansons are three-time Women’s Tag Team champions and won the title from JBE four weeks ago. Andrea and Melissa Hanson- guided by Coach Reg- bring a no holds barred, hockey-like attitude to the ring and they are always ready and willing to fight. Jill Berg Enterprises ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan and Prisoner #034291 are bolstered by the corporate power CEO Jill Berg and JBE brings to the table. Can JBE regain the belts? Or will the Hansons continue to roll on?
And in the main event, Daryn Thompson- representing Jill Berg Enterprises- will make her second Women’s Title defense against newcomer Jennifer Colton. Colton has not lost a match in her fledgling MVW career and booked her title shot with wins over Lisa Barbosa-Stevens, Yosemite Samantha, and Shizuko Yamazaki. She will have her hands full though tonight with Daryn Thompson- the first female wrestler in MVW history to win the Women’s Title while holding the Women’s Heartland Title. Thompson eased past Yamazaki in her first title defense last month but she may have a lot more on her hands when she faces Colton tonight in Chicago, Illinois.
