Results from last night’s Missouri Valley Wrestling Emporium, Kansas show featuring four #1 contender’s match (Men’s and Women’s Heartland division, Men’s, and Men’s Tag Team divisions) and the Carmondy Cup Finals.
December 10th – Del 5ive Event Center / Emporium, KS
WINNER-#5 WOMEN’S HEARTLAND DIVISION: #5 Patty McBride vs. Lani Harlot
-McBride falls to The ‘Queen of the Trailer Park’ and drops out of the Heartland Division. Harlot returns to the Women’s Heartland Division with the win.
WINNER-#5 MEN’S HEARTLAND DIVISION: #5 ‘Big Don’ Dickinson vs. Ken Kardoucheian
-Dickinson’s spot in the Heartland Division seemed in serious jeopardy as the Golden Boy of the Kardoucheian Empire had him on the ropes. Then Dickinson turned it around late and looked like he would hold off Kardoucheian and keep his #5 contender ranking until the other Kardoucheians interfered. Kardoucheian took advantage and wins. He moves back into the Men’s Heartland Division and Dickinson is relegated out.
#2 vs. #3-WOMEN’S TAG TEAM DIVISION: #2 Missouri Valley Fight Club (Harley Davisson/Carrieanne McDermott) vs. #3 The Working Girls (C.J. Lewis/’Queen Cool’ Leah Iris)
-Davisson and McDermott found themselves in a dogfight with The Working Girls. Lewis and Iris came to play but in the end, the MVFC managed to pull out the win.
#2 vs. #3-WOMEN’S DIVISION: #2 ‘The Shadow Warrior’ Shizuko Yamazaki vs. #3 Lisa Barbosa-Stevens
-Yamazaki and Barbosa-Stevens put on helluva show with The Shadow Warrior pulling out a very tough win over the former four-time Women’s champion to stay at #2.
#1 CONTENDER’S MATCH-WOMEN’S HEARTLAND TITLE: #1 Debbie the Destroyer vs. #2 Tessa Martin
-Another good match here. Debbie the Destroyer hit her Destroyer Bomb late and she will face Daryn Thompson at Evening of Champions.
#1 CONTENDER’S MATCH-MEN’S HEARTLAND TITLE: #1 ‘The Demi-God of HOW’ Scott Stevens vs. #2 Buckshot Henderson
-Stevens and Henderson battled hard in a good back-and-forth match but ‘The Demi-God of HOW’ finished Henderson with the Toxic Sting for the win. Stevens will now get a rematch against the man who won the Men’s Heartland Title from him- Bracken Krueger- at Evening of Champions.
#1 CONTENDER’S MATCH-MEN’S TAG TEAM: #1 The Kardoucheian Empire (Koley and Kourtney) vs. #2 The Alabama Gang (Mark Hendry/R.G. Jenkins)
-In a match that was moved up to the second match of the card because the Kardoucheians are also in the Carmondy Cup Finals later on in the show, The Alabama Gang roared back from a couple of flat performances to knock off the Kardoucheians and earn a Men’s Tag Team title match early next year.
#1 CONTENDER’S MATCH-MEN’S DIVISION: #1 Ricky Stevens vs. #2 Captain Jack
-Another great match. Stevens and Captain Jack tear the house down. Stevens comes close to booking a Men’s title shot, but Captain Jack prevails in the end and he will get another Men’s Title shot in early 2023.
CARMONDY CUP FINALS
WOMEN’S TAG TEAM FINAL: Women’s Tag Team Champions Jill Berg Enterprises (Sheline Carrigan/Prisoner #034291) vs. The Hanson Sisters (Andrea and Melissa)
-The Hanson Sisters came close to pulling off the upset but Jill Berg Enterprises wins the Carmondy Cup Women’s Tag Team tournament. However, by virtue of the fact that the Women’s Tag Team Champions won the Carmondy Cup, the Hansons will then get the title shot next month at the St. Louis Supershow.
MEN’S TAG TEAM FINAL: Men’s Tag Team Champions The Stevens Dynasty (Bo and George) vs. The Kardoucheian Empire (Koley and Kourtney)
-The Kardoucheians were all over the Men’s Tag Team Champions early on but then George Stevens decided to destroy all four Kardoucheians and the tide turned back to the Stevens Dynasty. The Men’s Tag Team Champions avenge the DQ loss from last week… BUT… The Kardoucheians WILL get another shot at the Stevens at the St. Louis Supershow in January.
WOMEN’S FINAL: Women’s Champion Victoria McGill vs. Women’s Heartland Champion Daryn Thompson
-This was another knockdown, drag-out free-for-all with the Women’s Champion surviving Daryn Thompson’s determined effort to pull off the upset. Tori McGill turned it on late but knows that Thompson will be a formidable opponent when the two meet again at the St. Louis Supershow… this time for the Women’s Title.
MEN’S FINAL: Men’s Champion ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson vs. John O’Reilly
-O’Reilly was on top early on. But Dickinson picked up the pace and O’Reilly made a couple key mistakes allowing the Men’s Champion to get the victory in the first of three consecutive matches between Dickinson and O’Reilly. The two will meet again next week at Evening of Champions and then one more time at the St. Louis Supershow.
