LOOSE ENDS
The HOW and PWA logos flash across the screen as the opening video ends and we go live to the Best Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The camera pans around the crowd and then zooms in on the announcer’s table at ringside where Hall of Fame commentator Joe Hoffman is seated.
Joe Hoffman: Good evening and welcome to Chaos 017- live from the Best Arena in Chicago, Illinois!
The jam-packed crowd is on their feet and ready for some action here tonight.
Joe Hoffman: I am Joe Hoffman and we have a big show for you tonight with three, count them, THREE title matches on the card. GREAT SCOTT defends the HOTv Title in our opening match against a resurgent Brian Hollywood looking to regain the title he lost to Jeffrey James Roberts last year. Xander Azula faces LSD Champion Jace Parker Davidson in a no-DQ match for JPD’s title. And one week after winning the HOTv Tag Team Title with JPD and then suffering a brutal beat down at the hands of JPD and HOW World Champion Christopher America, ‘The Demi-God of HOW’ Scott Stevens challenges America tonight for the HOW World Title. And…
We cut to Section 214 where the people are excited and on their feet.
Joe Hoffman: Wait a minute! Section 214 is buzzing with activity. Does this mean-
The camera moves in.
Joe Hoffman: …NO! Wait! That’s not who I thought it would be.
Standing amongst the denizens of Section 214… Adam Ellis.
Joe Hoffman: That’s PRIME’s Adam Ellis!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
The non-Section 214 part of the Best Arena audience expresses their displeasure at Adam Ellis because he signed to PRIME, while the people of Section 214 stand up and show their support for the youngster.
Joe Hoffman: But why is Adam Ellis here tonight?
The camera pulls back. Adam’s accompanied tonight by his wife- Ginny Van Lear, Lindsay Troy- PRIME’s President & CEO, and PRIME’S Head of Security – Dametreyus.
Joe Hoffman: And why is PRIME’s President and CEO Lindsay Troy here tonight… with PRIME’s Security people?
Ellis has a microphone in his hand.
Joe Hoffman: Well, I guess we’re about to find out.
Adam Ellis: Well, I can honestly say that I was not expecting the call I got yesterday.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Adam cracks a wry grin at the reception he’s getting from the HOW diehards inside the Best Arena. The Queen of the Ring simply smirks.
Adam Ellis: You see, I was in Dallas, Texas finishing up my first week of training since mid-October. I’ve been out of action for the past few weeks due to a family medical emergency. Ms. Troy reached me where I was working out and she advised that Lee Best’s office had contacted her about offering me a chance to wrestle GREAT SCOTT for the HOTv title.
Ellis pauses and puts his arm around his wife Ginny.
Adam Ellis: So, Ginny and I flew to Chicago this morning and met up with Ms. Troy… and here I am… back at the Best Arena for the first time since I signed with PRIME.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Again, most of the Best Arena boos Ellis while the people in Section 214 do their best to drown them out with cheers.
Adam Ellis: GREAT SCOTT. I’ve seen you in action at PRIME. I’ve watched you on television in action here in HOW. You are a worthy and great HOTv champion. You’ve defeated everyone who’s been put in front of you- Frank Dylan James…
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Adam Ellis: …Bobby Dean…
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Adam Ellis: …Doozer…
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Adam Ellis: …Xander Azula… Cancer Jiles…
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Adam Ellis: …and Scott Stevens.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Adam Ellis: Tonight, you face Brian Hollywood. The winner of tonight’s match will face me… Adam Ellis… next week right here in the Best Arena for the HOTv title. I accept the offer to challenge for the HOTv title.
Joe Hoffman: Ladies and gentlemen! I have just been informed that Lee Best has confirmed that the details were worked out with PRIME’s Lindsay Troy and… indeed… former HOW Tag Team Champion Adam Ellis will face the winner of tonight’s HOTV Title match next week on Chaos 018. Who will Ellis be facing? We’re going to find out right now.
#11 BRIAN HOLLYWOOD VS. #5 GREAT SCOTT
“STRONGER ON YOUR OWN” by Disturbed blares over the PA. Brian Hollywood slowly walks from the back and takes center stage. He stops and stands there for a few brief moments, closing his eyes.
Hollywood takes in the boos from the crowd and does his final mental preparation for his upcoming match. As Hollywood opens up his eyes, pyro shoots off in opposite corners of the stage as it makes its way to center stage.
Joe Hoffman: Brian Hollywood has persevered, scratched, and clawed to get his HOW career back on track. Last week, Hollywood got a big win over Bobbinette Carey on Chaos 016. Tonight, he has a chance to take a major step forward if he can defeat GREAT SCOTT and regain the HOTv Title.
As the pyro hits the center, the camera zooms in to see the reflection in Hollywood’s eyes as he finally makes his way down the ramp, quickly taking off his vest and throwing it down with intensity. Hollywood makes his final push as he charges the ring, rolling under the ropes.
Then…
“I’M THE GREATEST” BY RINGO STARR BLASTS THROUGHOUT THE T-MOBILE ARENA AS THE CROWD STANDS ON THEIR FEET. GREAT SCOTT COMES DOWN TO THE RING WITH HIS CHAMPIONSHIP BELT AND A BEAR WHO IS GREAT NAMED GREAT BEAR.
Joe Hoffman: And here comes the HOTv Champion- GREAT SCOTT.
THEY ARE LISTENING TO THE WHOLE CROWD CHEER AND THEN THEY GET INTO THE RING AND THE BEAR DOES A COOL DANCE AND GREAT SCOTT IS VERY OVER.
Joe Hoffman: This will be GREAT SCOTT’s seventh HOTv title defense. We last saw him in action at Chaos 014 when he successfully defended the title against Scott Stevens.
Bryan McVay steps to the center of the ring for the formal introduction.
Joe Hoffman: All right. Let’s go to the ring and Bryan McVay for the official introductions.
Bryan McVay: Ladies and gentlemen. The following match is for THE HOTv CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
McVay pauses as the Best Arena crowd cheers.
Bryan McVay: Introducing first, the challenger…
Hollywood warms up in his corner.
Bryan McVay: …he is from Los Angeles, California. Weighing in tonight at 225lbs, he is a former two-time HOW World Champion. Ladies and gentlemen… this is BRIAN! HOLLYWOOD!
The challenger raises his arm following the introduction and then goes back to warming up.
Bryan McVay: And his opponent…
RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Bryan McVay: From The Greater Metro Area of Great Falls, Montana. Weighing in tonight at 276 lbs. He is the reigning HOTV CHAMPION! He is GRRRRREAT! SCOTTTTTT!
McVay leaves the ring and referee Joel Hortega walks over and secures the HOTv Championship belt from GREAT SCOTT.
Joe Hoffman: Well, GREAT SCOTT first promised this week to… and I quote… KICK A MAN IN THE DICK UNTIL HE DIES… yes, that’s what he said. However, after further consultation with legal counsel, it appears GREAT SCOTT has backed off that promise and will… and again I quote… KICK HIM IN THE PENIS UNTIL HIS LEGS DON’T WORK.
Boettcher signals the timekeeper to ring the bell to get this HOTv Title match underway.
Joe Hoffman: We’ll see if Brian Hollywood has anything to say about that as Joel Hortega has called for the bell…
*DING-DING*
Joe Hoffman: …and this match is underway.
GREAT SCOTT charges in. Hollywood feigns an Executive Decree and GREAT SCOTT stops.
Joe Hoffman: GREAT SCOTT has the size and weight advantage. Brian Hollywood’s Executive Promise is still a potent weapon in the challenger’s arsenal.
Lock up in the middle of the ring. GREAT SCOTT uses his freakish- and STRONKUMMS-fueled- strength to drive Hollywood into the corner. Hortega calls for a break and GREAT SCOTT acts as if he’s going to back up… then he unleashes a front kick aimed towards Hollywood’s groin. Hollywood slides to the side and the kick does not find its mark.
Joe Hoffman: Well. GREAT SCOTT promised he was going to do this but referee Joel Hortega is not pleased that he did it on the break.
Hortega duly admonishes GREAT SCOTT who ignores him and walks away. Hollywood circles. GREAT SCOTT cuts him off. Right hands by GREAT SCOTT drive Hollywood back to his corner. GREAT SCOTT advances- waistlock… lift…
Joe Hoffman: SPINEBUSTER BY GREAT SCOTT!
But instead of going for the cover, GREAT SCOTT swings his leg back and tries to kick Hollywood in the balls. Hollywood rolls to the side and springs right back up to his feet. Hollywood jumps to the second rope… leaps… SPRINGBOARD DDT!
Hollywood rolls GREAT SCOTT over…
UNO… GREAT SCOTT bench presses Hollywood and propels him across the ring.
Joe Hoffman: Brian Hollywood hit it big with the Springboard DDT but it’s going to take a lot more than that to beat GREAT SCOTT.
Neckbreaker by Hollywood. He spins and hits a back elbow and then hits a kick to GREAT SCOTT’s knee. Another neckbreaker dumps GREAT SCOTT to the mat. Mud stomp by Hollywood on the stomach. Cover…
UNO…
D- GREAT SCOTT bench presses Hollywood again and the challenger finds himself being flung across the ring by the HOTv champion.
Joe Hoffman: Hollywood’s taking the fight to GREAT SCOTT but he’s still got a lot of work to do if he’s going to win this match.
Hollywood reaches for the ropes. GREAT SCOTT sidekicks him to the side of his temple.
Joe Hoffman: That kick dazed Hollywood.
GREAT SCOTT tries to hook Hollywood’s arms in a double underhook but Hollywood fights out of it and rolls out of the ring.
Joe Hoffman: So far, Brian Hollywood has had some success against GREAT SCOTT but he finds himself at ringside wondering what to do next after GREAT SCOTT’s sidekick.
GREAT SCOTT walks back and forth in his corner and GREAT BEAR also lurks nearby. When Hortega starts a ten count, Hollywood climbs back onto the ring apron. GREAT SCOTT takes off and hits a jumping thrust kick that misses the target but strikes Hollywood in the stomach and sends him flying off the apron onto the floor.
Joe Hoffman: GREAT SCOTT went for the SCOTTAGREE… Hollywood blocked and tried to clear his thoughts… and then GREAT SCOTT tried to kick Hollywood in the balls… misses a little high… and still sends Hollywood flying off the apron to the floor.
Back to the ring, GREAT SCOTT paces manically… waiting for Hollywood to return. GREAT BEAR- listening to the music on his Sweet Beats by Dre headphones- wanders over… picks Hollywood up, drags him to the ring apron… and throws him back in.
Joe Hoffman: GREAT BEAR tosses Brian Hollywood back into the ring… but Hollywood latches on to the ropes and won’t let go.
GREAT SCOTT immediately grabs Hollywood’s feet and pulls back lifting him into the air. His power induces Hollywood to release his grip on the ropes. GREAT SCOTT then powerbombs him to the mat. Cover.
UNO…
DOS… Hollywood gets a shoulder up.
Joe Hoffman: GREAT SCOTT used his strength to bring Hollywood back in and then powerbomb him. But Hollywood somehow gets a shoulder up- WATCH OUT!
GREAT SCOTT again swings his foot and tries to boot the challenger in the groin- Hollywood’s survival instincts kick in and he manages once again to roll out of harm’s way.
Joe Hoffman: Brian Hollywood alertly got out of the way of GREAT SCOTT’s attempt to keep his promise to… and again I quote… KICK HIM IN THE PENIS UNTIL HIS LEGS DON’T WORK. But Hollywood’s still trying to fight back.
Hollywood gropes at the ropes again. GREAT SCOTT waits for Hollywood to get back to his feet and unleashes a right hand. The champion rocks Hollywood with a huge clothesline that sends him crashing back down to the canvas. GREAT SCOTT flexes his arm as the crowd cheers and then grabs a hold of Hollywood. He pulls the challenger back up to his feet- Hollywood with a boot to the midsection! And a second boot to the midsection.
Joe Hoffman: Suddenly, Brian Hollywood is fighting back-
Hollywood spikes GREAT SCOTT to the mat with a crisp DDT.
Joe Hoffman: …DDT BY HOLLYWOOD!
Now riding the momentum, Hollywood whips GREAT SCOTT to the ropes… runs… and jumps up to the corner turnbuckle, and then leaps towards his opponent- SPINNING FOREARM! GREAT SCOTT is driven down to the canvas.
Joe Hoffman: BRIAN HOLLYWOOD WITH THE BIG FOREARM OFF THE TOP ROPE AND HE’S COME ALIVE!
Hollywood climbs up the turnbuckle once again. The crowd watches as he balances himself on the top rope… and then leaps off the top rope.
Joe Hoffman: Hollywood with a big elbow drop from the top and suddenly, it’s GREAT SCOTT who’s in trouble.
Hollywood gets to his feet and waits. GREAT SCOTT pulls himself up- Hollywood leaps to the middle rope then springboards off.
Joe Hoffman: PAPER CUT!
Hollywood’s jumping cutter drives GREAT SCOTT to the canvas hard.
Joe Hoffman: PAPER CUT CONNECTS! HOLLYWOOD’S ROLLING GREAT SCOTT OVER!
Hollywood rolls the HOTv champion on his back and hooks the leg. Hortega slides in for the count.
UNO…
DOS…
T-
Joe Hoffman: NOOO!!!!
GREAT SCOTT shoots his arm up right before Hortega reaches ‘tres.’
Joe Hoffman: GREAT SCOTT GOT THE SHOULDER UP AT THE LAST POSSIBLE SECOND!
Hollywood shakes his head and climbs up the corner turnbuckle again.
Joe Hoffman: Now what is he doing?
Hollywood steadies himself on the top rope. He takes a deep breath. Bends his knees. And then Hollywood flies. It’s a move he only pulls out in big matches.
Joe Hoffman: FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH!
Hollywood connects and rolls off to the side.
Joe Hoffman: BRIAN HOLLYWOOD JUST BROKE OUT THE FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH.
The challenger rolls back over and makes the cover.
UNO…
DOS…
TR-
Joe Hoffman: NO!
Again at the last possible moment, GREAT SCOTT gets the shoulder off the mat.
Joe Hoffman: SOMEHOW… GREAT SCOTT HAD ENOUGH PRESENCE OF MIND TO GET THAT SHOULDER UP!
The crowd’s on their feet now. The Best Arena is rocking as Brian Hollywood mulls his next move.
Joe Hoffman: GREAT SCOTT is dazed on the mat and Brian Hollywood is poised to do something six other men have not been able to do, defeat GREAT SCOTT for the HOTv title!
GREAT SCOTT crawls to the ropes and begins to pull himself up. Hortega is right there as he’s started a count on the champion.
Hollywood patiently waits.
Joe Hoffman: Is Hollywood measuring GREAT SCOTT for the Executive Decree?
Hollywood taps his right foot.
GREAT SCOTT gets back to a vertical base… it’s a little shaky… but he’s back to his vertical base. Hollywood steps forward and put everything he’s got into a Claymore kick
Joe Hoffman: EXECUTIVE DECREE!
GREAT SCOTT instinctively ducks and- with Hortega right there- pulls the referee into the path of Hollywood’s foot.
*BAM*
Joe Hoffman: MISSES GREAT SCOTT AND HE HIT JOEL HORTEGA INSTEAD!
Hollywood didn’t quite catch Hortega flush but the blow causes the referee to turn his back on both wrestlers.
*PUNT*
Joe Hoffman: GREAT SCOTT JUST KICKED BRIAN HOLLYWOOD IN THE GROIN!
Hollywood drops to his knees. The kick does not render Hollywood’s legs unable to move and he gets back to his feet. GREAT SCOTT dips his head slightly and locks in a glare on his opponent.
Joe Hoffman: IT’S THE GLARE!
Not just any glare mind you… GREAT SCOTT has locked in the angry glare.
Joe Hoffman: GREAT SCOTT’S GIVING HOLLYWOOD THE ANGRY GLARE HE MENACINGLY GIVES HIS OPPONENT AND EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT’S UP!
RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Especially the crowd.
Joe Hoffman: HERE HE COMES!
GREAT SCOTT runs to the ropes and leaps off the middle rope… he spins and his legs land on Hollywood’s shoulders… spins to the side and locks his thick ankles around his neck… and sends Hollywood flying across the ring.
Joe Hoffman: SCOTTACANRANA!!! SCOTTACANRANA!!!
GREAT SCOTT slides in to hook Hollywood’s legs as Hortega’s recovered and he slides in for the count.
UNO…
DOS…
TRES!
*DING-DING-DING*
Joe Hoffman: AND GREAT SCOTT RETAINS AGAIN!
Bryan McVay: Your winner at fourteen minutes and thirty-four seconds… AND STILL HOTv CHAMPION! GRRRRRRREAT! SCOTTTTTT!
RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Referee Joel Hortega goes to raise GREAT SCOTT’s arm in victory.
Joe Hoffman: So for the seventh time, GREAT SCOTT has successfully defended the HOTv title…
The HOTv Champion suddenly pulls his arm away. He turns and swings his left leg back…
Joe Hoffman: …WHAT IS HE DOING?
Determined to keep the pre-match promise he made to kick Brian Hollywood in the penis until his legs no longer worked, GREAT SCOTT swings his leg back and goes to punt him in the balls again. Unfortunately, Hollywood sees him in time and escapes… rolling under the ropes to the floor.
Joe Hoffman: Well, as I was saying, GREAT SCOTT successfully defended the HOTv Title for the seventh time tonight passing Jace Parker Davidson’s six successful HOTv title defenses.
GREAT BEAR joins GREAT SCOTT in the ring but the celebration is muted because GREAT SCOTT was not able to keep his promise. Brian Hollywood makes his way up the ramp to the back- his genitals safe from further damage at the hands… er… foot of GREAT SCOTT.
Joe Hoffman: GREAT SCOTT with the win here tonight on Chaos 017 and next week he will be taking on PRIME’s Adam Ellis for the HOTv title. But before we get to next week we got a WHOLE lot of show left tonight. I am being told we are cutting outside?
GIMME WHAT I WANT
We cut to an exterior shot of the Best Arena, the clear blue sky supplemented by a disclaimer that the following footage was recorded earlier today as we see Xander Azula and his crew arrive, an angry look on the face of the Fighter as he approaches a nearby stagehand.
Xander Azula: Hey, is our fearless CEO around? I gotta few…questions to ask.
The stagehand silently shakes his head as he walks away, much to Xander’s chagrin as he looks around for anyone to speak to by this point.
Xander Azula: What do I gotta do to get some attention around here? Step in the ring and ramble for five to ten minutes about getting a match at ICONIC? I don’t think so!
Xander turns his attention to us, laughing as if to shake off the frustration before speaking again.
Xander Azula: I’m gonna make this really, really simple folks…if Mike Best won’t face me at ICONIC, I’ll take on anyone. I’m not picky! Give me Brian Hollywood if you have to, he seems itching for another ass whoopin’…gimme Darin Zion, I’m sure we can drag him off the injured reserve…hell, if I have to grab some punk off the streets of Chicago and show him what a fighter really looks like, I will!
Xander stops himself…just to crack a smile, before continuing.
Xander Azula: But first…we deal with Jace Parker Davidson tonight. I’m gonna give that rat bastard what he deserves, and with any luck I might take that precious LSD Championship off his hands…just you wait and see! We’re in it to win it tonight, Chicago! See you at the dance…and believe me, this is the dance.
With that, Xander and the crew make their way into the Best Arena as we cut to commercial!
#1 CLAY BYRD VS. #8 JATT STARR
Back live from commercial and we cut back live to our Hall of Fame announcer.
Joe Hoffman: We are back, and coming up next we have Hall of Famer Jatt Starr taking on Clay Byrd, who has been on quite a rolle lately. Byrd really took it to Cancer Jiles last week as Jiles barely looked interested in being there… and if I know Lee Best… he probably won’t be for much longer. But this week, Clay has got to be expecting a better showing from his opponent, as this match will go a long way in regard to his preparation for the biggest match of his life at ICONIC.
Bryan McVay: Ladies and gentlemen, this match is scheduled for ONE FALL!!!
The lights go out and one by one, yellow spotlights illuminate the ramp from the ring to the curtain. “Everybody Wants You” by Billy Squier plays the legend Jatt Starr appears to a big pop from the Chicago crowd..
Bryan McVay: Introducing first, from Havre, Montana… weighing in at 220 pounds… THE REMBRANDT OF WRESTLING!!… JAAAAAAATTTT STAAAAAAAAAARRRR!!!!
Joe Hoffman: Jatt Starr once again getting a loud positive reaction from the High Octane crowd… He’s been on a roll lately, with a big win over Xander Azula last week, and a tag team win the week before.
Starr finally reaches the ring, climbs up through the ropes, and smirks out into the crowd.
Guitar and harmonica begin to blare through the arena, the start of Gunning For You by Nick Nolan sends a silence across the crowd as Nick Nolan’s lyrics echo through the arena. Red letters slash across the screen as “BYRD” is spelled out. Clay appears through the fog on the entrance ramp, cowboy hat low over his eyes, a long black duster on and a rope in his hand.
Bryan McVay: And his opponent… from Plainview, Texas… weighing in at 295 pounds… THE MONSTER FROM PLAINVIEW!!!!… CLAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY BYYYYYYYYYYYRDD!!!!!!!
Joe Hoffman: And here comes Clay Byrd! The big Texan is also rolling into this match on the heels of a dominating winning streak as he heads toward ICONIC… making short work of both Frank Dylan James and multiple-time former holder of #97Red, Cancer Jiles….
My Gun is loaded it’s getting time
Two shots of whiskey i’m takin’ what’s mine
Ain’t what you’re sayin it’s what you do
Your time has come boy i’m Gunnin for You
When hell is raining down you’ll see my face won’t heara sound
You’ll feel that bullet burnin through
Take your last breath boy
I’m Gunnin for You
Clay begins his slow walk down the ramp. His eyes are fixed on the ring, and he trudges on. Not paying any notice to any of the fans in attendance.
Joe Hoffman: The crowd is giving it to Clay Byrd again, but this week he’s not even looking at any of them. He’s just going down to the ring to take care of business.
There’s desperation deep in your eyes
No turnin back now no compromise
Cause only one of us walks out that door
The other bleedin out on the floor
Clay walks up the steps, and climbs into the ring.
Joe Hoffman: Matt Boettcher is in the ring and we are ready to go!
The bell rings.
Joe Hoffman: We are underway…. Two men trying to make a statement before ICONIC!
Jatt Starr walks directly to the center of the ring, that smirk still on his face, and Clay Byrd stoically obliges by meeting him in the middle and looking down at the much smaller Starr. Byrd holds out a hand at about his own height, mockingly measuring out the size difference.
Joe Hoffman: Jatt Starr is none too pleased by this show of disrespect from Clay Byrd, but Clay looks happy with the reaction he’s getting. It’s just what he was going for, I think.
Starr laughs lightly, then turns and socks Byrd right in the jaw. Surprised, Byrd’s eyes flash with anger and he charges in, but Starr ducks a clothesline then slips behind Byrd and clubs him over the back with multiple double axe handle shots.
Joe Hoffman: Starr a little too quick there…
Starr kicks at the knee and Byrd drops to his knee, then Starr stomps away at Byrd until he’s down on the mat holding up his hands to cover up.
Joe Hoffman: Taking the upper hand as he stomps away at the big Texan!
Starr drops an elbow, but Byrd rolls out of the way!
Joe Hoffman: And now Byrd is quick enough to get out of the way!!!
Another elbow! And Byrd rolls away again!
Joe Hoffman: And again!
Frustrated, Starr goes over the Byrd and reaches down to pull him up, but eats a right hand to the forehead as he bends over his fallen opponent. Byrd is able to scurry to his feet and force Starr back into the corner, then unleashes knife-edge chops to the chest of the Hall of Famer.
Joe Hoffman: Clay Byrd is wearing out Jatt Starr with those chops! The Monster from Plainview is using his size and strength advantage here to physically dominate the Mayor of Jattlantis here…
Starr clutches at his chest, but Byrd doesn’t let him get away, hitting him with two more, then taking him by the arm and whipping him out of the corner.
Joe Hoffman: Starr goes with the whip and sprints to the opposite corner here…
Byrd charges as Starr runs to the other corner, steps up onto the second turnbuckle, and twists back into a flying forearm that catches Clay Byrd right on the bridge of the nose.
Joe Hoffman: …leaps up onto the turnbuckle and hits a beautiful flying forearm out of nowhere!!!
Byrd gets slowly to his feet, but Starr wraps his arms around his waist, lifts and drops him into an inverted atomic drop. Byrd winces in pain, and Starr grabs him by the hair and smashes him hard into his knee with a knee-smash face breaker.
Joe Hoffman: Obviously Jatt Starr gives up a size and strength advantage, but one thing he does give up is a speed or technical advantage. Clay Byrd is no slouch, but Jatt Starr is an absolute master of his craft, and that’s why he’s a Hall of Famer.
Starr goes to the legs and starts to twist Byrd into position for a Texas cloverleaf, but Byrd is still aware enough to kick him off, bouncing Starr into the ropes.
Joe Hoffman: Starr stays on the attack, but Byrd kicks him away…
Starr grabs his legs again, this time twisting him into a possible figure four leglock, but again Byrd kicks him off as he turns into the hold, and Starr goes careening into the corner.
Joe Hoffman: …and again, this time with more force! Jatt Starr is frustrated!
Starr waits in the corner for Byrd to scramble to his feet, then charges in with a diving knee block that drops Byrd again.
Joe Hoffman: Starr smartly takes Byrd off of his vertical base with a shoulder tackle to the knee… and he’s back up and ready…
Starr pulls Byrd up, locks him in a front facelock, then whips him over and to the mat with a crisp snap suplex. Starr crouches around behind Byrd as he gets him and locks him up from behind, then sends him up and over with a German suplex.
Joe Hoffman: A series of suplexes from Jatt Starr!! This could be it!!
Seeing an opportunity, Starr makes the cover. Boettcher drops to count…
ONE!
TWO!
KICKOUT!!
Starr looks up at Matt Boettcher and holds up three fingers, but Boettcher is having none of it, shaking his head and instructing Starr to keep going.
Joe Hoffman: Starr is obviously frustrated here but he’s gonna have to stay on top of Clay Byrd if he wants to be able to take advantage of the situation…
Looking to hit the knockout blow, Starr drags Byrd up to his feet and sets him up for his Falling Starr. He has Byrd cinched in, turns him over, and drops him face-first into the mat. Boettcher goes for the count!
Joe Hoffman: FALLING STARR!!! HE HITS IT RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING!! COULD THIS BE ALL!?!?!
ONE!!!
TWO!!!
THREE…. NO!!! BYRD GETS HIS ARM UP AT THE LAST POSSIBLE SECOND!
Starr is in disbelief, clutching his head in his hands as he thought he had pulled off a huge win here tonight.
Joe Hoffman: Just a split second away from winning this match, and Jatt is beside himself!! He can’t believe that wasn’t enough, and quite frankly, I’m a little surprised and impressed myself right now!!
Starr gets ahold of himself and pulls Byrd up to a standing position, then slips around back and jumps up into a sleeper hold. Byrd’s arms start flailing but not for long as Starr drops the back of his head straight down to the mat.
Joe Hoffman: Another blow to the back of the head!! Byrd seems to be out cold!!
Starr stands and looks down at Clay Byrd, disgusted, then finally heads to the corner and steps through the ropes to the ring apron, then starts climbing the top rope. Byrd is still on the mat as Starr gets himself perched on the top turnbuckle, raises both arms, then leaps with a flying elbow drop… BUT BYRD MOVES!!! Starr hits the mat hard and screams out in pain while grabbing at his elbow!
Joe Hoffman: Clay Byrd was playing possum!! No doubt he’s taken a lot of damage here tonight, but he still had enough of his wits to get out of the way of that huge leaping elbow drop from the top rope!
Byrd rolls to the ropes, then uses them to bring himself up. Seeing Starr struggle to shake off the impact to his elbow, Byrd charges into and takes his head off with a big boot to the face.
Joe Hoffman: And now Clay Byrd has a chance to turn the tides of this match! Momentum is definitely shifting as Byrd nearly takes Starr’s head off with that boot to the face!!
Starr goes flying, inside out and to the mat, but is pulled roughly to his feet immediately. Byrd puts him in a waistlock, then lifts him up and drives him down into a powerbomb.
Joe Hoffman: Byrd wasting no time! Big powerbomb!! Boettcher drops to make the count!
ONE!!!
TWO!!!
JATT STARR KICKS OUT JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME!
Byrd pushes Starr’s feet away, then gets to his feet and roars into the crowd. The Chicago crowd is none too pleased, but Byrd just snarls and turns back to Jatt Starr.
Joe Hoffman: Byrd is fired up!! The big monster from Plainview is focused and practically breathing fire in that ring right now!!!
Whipping Starr into the ropes, Clay Byrd hits a spear in the middle of the ring. Not satisfied, he pulls up Starr again, then runs into the ropes and hits another spear.
Joe Hoffman: He’s punishing Jatt right now! Two spears! Jatt Starr is in la-la land!!
Starr is out, lying prone on the canvas, and Clay Byrd makes a gesture as if to say “he’s finished”, and pulls him up.
Joe Hoffman: Clay Byrd is looking to end this match right now…
Starr has no idea where he is as Clay Byrd hits the ropes behind Starr, then hits the ropes in front of him, and turns Jatt Starr inside out with a big Texas Lariat!!
Joe Hoffman: …and hits the big TEXAS LARIAT!! This could do it!!
Boettcher drops to make the count…
ONE!!!
TWO!!!
THREE!!!!!!!
The bell rings.
Bryan McVay: The winner of this match…. In 6 minutes, 49 seconds… CLAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY BYYYYYYYYYYYYYRD!!!!
Joe Hoffman: What a huge win by Clay Byrd here tonight! Jatt Starr put up one hell of a fight and nearly managed to get a surprise win early, but Clay Byrd was just a bit too much for him tonight after those initial minutes of action. Clay Byrd continues his impressive hot streak… and now, one week closer to ICONIC and a shot at the HOW World Championship!!
With that we cut backstage as Chaos rolls on…
HOT POCKETS AND CATS
The scene picks up with Conor Fuse storming through the hallways of the Best Arena, knapsack being dragged on the ground as he does. It doesn’t take long before Conor stops in the middle of the hallway, drops his bag and keeps his head on a swivel.
Conor Fuse: Steve Harrison… where are you!?
Joe Hoffman: I’ve been told Conor’s been searching for Harrison all night long and hasn’t found him yet.
The Ultimate Gamer looks to his right, then left, forward and back before scurrying towards another open space backstage and doing the exact same thing, dropping his knapsack and shouting down the hall for his upcoming ICONIC opponent.
With no response, this continues until Conor finds a space and stops for a fourth time.
Conor Fuse: God dammit, Steve. Where are… you…
Suddenly an entrance door opens and Steve Harrison walks through. Completely unaware of what’s going on, the Highwayman soon catches Conor Fuse in the middle of the hallway. Steve doesn’t need to be told Conor’s been looking for him, it doesn’t matter. Instead, Harrison marches over to where the gamer is standing.
Steve Harrison: Oh…it’s you, I thought I heard a whiny child out here. What do you want now?
Fuse smirks as he glances down to his backpack.
Conor Fuse: You know what dude? I have a new present with your name on it. So if you’re okay to fucking stand there for a moment…
Fuse kneels down but doesn’t drop his guard as he continues to keep his eyes on Harrison while opening the bag and digging through it blindly.
Conor Fuse: Yep. Here it is…
The Power-Up King carefully reveals a SNES controller wrapped in barbed wire. It’s clear Conor already put his palm through one of the barbs, likely when searching for it, as blood rolls up his forearm but he’s completely oblivious.
Conor Fuse: So full disclosure, I was gonna attack you with this since you never took my first peace offering…
Harrison doesn’t seem impressed.
Steve Harrison: For Christ’s sake, Conor, nobody believes that your “peace offer” nonsense is legit. I need you to get your hepatitis blood away from me and stop trying to act like you are better than me.
Fuse narrows his eyes.
Conor Fuse: Right okay sure so Imma be the bigger man here, okay? You go that way, I’ll go this way.
Conor’s head nods in different directions.
Conor Fuse: And see you at ICONIC.
Harrison seemingly agrees as he turns to the right and Conor goes left.
…Then they both turn back around at the same time and charge each other! Fuse connects with left hands and Harrison with numerous rights. Conor has the barbed wire controller in his right hand. He tries to swing it at Harrison but Steve ducks and kicks the controller away. Fuse pauses.
Conor Fuse: Oh you’re gonna regret that.
Steve Harrison: Not as much as your mom regrets giving birth to you.
Conor drops the intense face and asks a genuine question.
Conor Fuse: She spoke to you?
The Miracle Man pauses and lets out a long sigh at Conor’s response.
Steve Harrison: Yes… you idiot, she told me you are all out of hot pockets and that one of the dozen cats she owns gave birth on your vintage Nintendo.
Fuse is irate.
Conor Fuse: How dare she disclose this information to others!
Steve Harrison: How dare…what the fuck is wrong with you?
The two go back to exchanging blows until security runs into the picture and breaks them apart. Conor begins mouthing off to security.
Conor Fuse: Let me at him, c’mon! I got the cheat codes for an early game! Fuck it, this is the demo! I want to mangle that n00b!
Harrison walks over to where the barbwire controller is and looks down at it and then back up at Conor. He stomps his left foot on top of it and the controller shatters on the floor. Harrison shouts back.
Steve Harrison: I am going to leave you as broken as this precious controller of yours and video games suck!
Joe Hoffman: For the sake of ICONIC, our biggest show, this is the right call! Let them go at it officially for the first time ever in singles competition then!
The scene ends with MOAR security getting involved but even MOAR words and anger being conveyed by both parties as we cut to a commercial break.
THE KING OF LSD
We come back from a commercial break to the backstage area of The Best Arena here in Chicago. Blaire Moise can be seen standing with her microphone in hand. She uses her free hand to comb through her hair as she waits for the signal from the cameraman that they are back live. The cameraman counts her down as she straightens her posture and raises the microphone up to her lips.
Blaire Moise: Welcome back to Chaos 017 live from The Best Arena here in Chicago. My guest at this time is The Triple Champion of HOW, please welcome Jace Parker Davidson.
The camera pans out to show Jace walking up to Blaire. Jace is in wrestling gear and has the ICON Championship belt over his right shoulder. His half of the HOTv World Tag Team Championship belts over his left shoulder. And finally, the HOW LSD Championship belt displayed proudly around his waist. Abdullah Choi and STRONKETTE join Jace in camera range as Blaire tries to muster the fakest smile that she can.
Blaire Moise: In a few short moments, you’ll be out in the ring defending the HOW LSD Championship belt against Xander Azula in a no disqualification match. Your thoughts?
Davidson: My thoughts? My thoughts are that I got thrown the softest, underhand toss in the history of High Octane Wrestling. This entire match is a fast break layup in the form of professional wrestling. Lee Best decided to give me a little sparring session to keep me sharp and burn off a few calories I’ve undoubtedly gained during Thanksgiving.
Blaire Moise: Xander Azula is a fighter here in HOW and it seems a no disqualification match is more suited to his advantage than it is yours.
Jace shakes his head as Choi gets aggressive. Abdullah steps towards Blaire to give her a piece of his mind but Jace stretches out his arm and holds Choi back.
Davidson: Look at me, Blaire. What do you see?
Blaire Moise: A 6’4” pompous, overconfident jacka–
Jace per usual in an interview with Blaire interrupts her.
Davidson: What you see, Ms. Moise, is a man up to his earlobes in gold. I’m literally drowning in a sea of accomplishments. You are witnessing the second reign of The Conqueror here in HOW. You think I’m going to honestly stumble and fall over a little No DQ match against Xander Azula? Don’t be silly. Let me ask you, how many HOW Championship belts has Xander ever won?
Blaire goes to answer but Abdullah Choi beats her to it.
Abdullah Choi: None!
Davidson: And how many times has Xander Azula won Wrestler of the Year here in HOW?
Abdullah Choi: Zero!
Davidson: And how many times has Xander Azula managed to beat me in a wrestling match?
Abdullah Choi: Never!
Jace smirks and turns his head to face Blaire.
Davidson: Need I say more?
Blaire Moise: Please don’t…
Davidson: The answer is yes. See, Xander Azula uses the same tired ass material that Steve Harrison, Scott Stevens, and all the others lesser than me in the HOW use. He said I was boring, she called me a walking sexual harassment claim, and he compared me to a brick wall. Let me tell you something, Xanderella. None of that bullshit has anything to do with professional wrestling. Not a single word of it has anything to do with how you’re going to prevent me from beating your ass in the ring here in a few moments. Do you want to improve? I’ll give you some free advice since Joe Bergman is incapacitated at the moment.
Jace adjusts the Championship belts on his shoulders and clears his throat.
Davidson: Stop using the same bullshit everyone uses against me since clearly, it does not work. No one cares about what woman I harass or what I do on Twitter. That has nothing to do with Jace Parker Davidson, the HOW Hall of Famer. Jace Parker Davidson the Triple Champion. Jace Parker Davidson the Wrestler of the Year for 2021. Fuck all to do with that. Talk about who I am as a wrestler. What I do inside of the ring. Pick apart the things I am not good at inside of the ring. Focus on just how you’re going to stop me from using my boot to smash your face into the canvas in violent ways. You want to call me a brick wall you’re going to keep chipping away at? Son, I am no mere brick wall. I am a goddamn volcano that you’re trying to bring down with your bare hands. Focus on who I am in-between those ropes and nothing else. That’s how you become great, that’s how you become the GREATEST LSD Champion in the history of this company. Oh, and remember how in title matches you’re required to film more than one promotional video. Kind of an important thing to write down, just saying.
Jace and Choi begin to laugh as Blaire goes to change the subject.
Blaire Moise: Speaking of Scott Stevens… Just last week you managed to somehow work together with him to capture the HOTv World Tag Team Championship belts from The Highwaymen. Only for Christopher America to level him with a shot to the head with that very title before telling him that he doesn’t belong. Was that the plan all along?
Davidson: Are you asking if I knew about it beforehand?
Blaire kind of bobs her head side to side in response.
Davidson: No, I didn’t plan an attack on Scott Stevens with Christopher America’s help after the match. Christopher America is the HOW World Champion and does whatever the fuck he wants. I just found the fact that he blasted Stevens upside the head and read him the riot act like that to be extremely hilarious. That’s what happens when you shoot off at the mouth like Stevens’ does all the time without backing it up.
Blaire Moise: In the main event later tonight Scott Stevens gets a shot at revenge and the chance to capture the HOW World Championship belt heading into ICONIC. Just who will you be pulling for in that contest?
Jace takes a moment to think over his answer to that question before speaking into the microphone.
Davidson: Stevens is undoubtedly a hot head and he’s going to walk in there pissed off at what happened last week. However, if Stevens wants to prove that everything America said was wrong then doing radio shows on Thanksgiving isn’t the way to do it. The way to do it is to walking into that ring with a game plan to defeat Christopher America for the #97red. Not with any help, not with any interference, and not when no one else is around to hold that belt. Fair and square in the middle of that ring with your own wrestling ability. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen. But I am very interested in that match and I will be getting an up close and personal view of it for obvious reasons.
Jace smirks towards the camera before turning back towards Blaire.
Davidson: Now hang on to your pretty little skirt, Blaire. I have to go stomp the dog shit out of Xander Azula. Trust me, this won’t take long.
Jace and company head off towards the gorilla area as Blaire just lowers her microphone and walks off in the other direction.
#13 XANDER AZULA VS. #6 JACE PARKER DAVIDSON
We cut immediately back to Joe…..
Joe Hoffman: Well we just heard some strong words from the LSD Championship and now it is time for him to defend his LSD Championship against Xander Azula…….and he will be defending it in a No DQ match! Folks this is gonna be a good one!
The whistling intro of “Engel” plays over the PA system, setting the crowd off in a chorus of boos as Xander Azula and his Eternal Circle disciples step out onto the stage, surveying the crowd with a gleeful grin. The crowd show their disdain for Xander and his crew, who simply laugh at the ignorance they see as they head toward the ring.
Bryan McVay: The following contest is a No DQ match scheduled for ONE FALL…and it is for the LSD Championship! Making his way to the ring, being accompanied by the Eternal Circle, from Long Beach, California, weighing in at 230 pounds..the challenger, XANDER AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZULA!
Xander directs his disciples to circle around the ring, and they all hop onto the apron with wicked smiles on their faces. They enter the ring to support Xander before Xander directs his crew to leave the ring.
Joe Hoffman: Xander looks focused here tonight! There is certainly no love lost between Xander and his soon to be opponent, Jace Parker Davidson, and Azula made that perfectly clear. Xander looks to shock the world and JPD by becoming the new LSD Champion. Let’s see if he can get it done here tonight!
The lights in the arena dim as the HOV begins to light up. The words “The King has Returned.” echo throughout the building. The crowd stands on its feet as smoke begins to build on stage. The sound of Kingdom by Jaxson Gamble begins to blare as a spotlight shines on stage. The crowd gives a mixed reaction as through the smoke appears Jace Parker Davidson along with Abdullah Choi and STRONKETTE accompanying him to the ring. Jace looks out at the crowd and soaks in the reception before nodding. The three make their way down the ramp slowly as fans reach over the barricade trying to touch the champion.
Bryan McVay: And making his way to the ring, from Miami, Florida, accompanied to the ring by Abdullah Choi and STRONKETTE, he weighs in at 253 pounds, he is the TRIPLE CHAMPION, THE LSD AND ONE HALF OF THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS….JAAAAAAAACE PAAAAAAAAAARKER DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVIDSOOOOOOOOOOON!
Abdullah and STRONKETTE are at ringside near Joe as Jace slides under the bottom rope to enter the ring. Jace pops to his feet and makes his way over to the nearest corner and climbs the turnbuckle to pose for the crowd. Hopping down Jace goes to his corner and begins to stretch before the match starts. Abdullah and STRONKETTE stare across from ringside at the Eternal Circle as you could feel the tension between both parties.
Joe Hoffman: Jace has gone on record as to saying that wrestling matters. Even though this match is a no DQ match favoring Xander, Jace has made it abundantly clear that Azula is a waste of his time. I see the fight in Xander’s eyes and he’s fixing to shock Jace here tonight.
No need for Joel Hortega to check either man seeing this is a no DQ match and Hortega calls for the bell for the start of this match.
DING DING DING
This match is officially underway as Xander rushes from his corner and surprises Jace with a flying closed fist strike to the face as Jace falls to the ground! Xander mounts the LSD Champion and begins striking away at his face before Jace finally is able to throw his hands up and block the flurry of strikes Xander has sent his way. Xander quickly rolls off Jace and rolls out of the ring as he reaches under the ring and grabs a steel chair.
Joe Hoffman: And Xander wasting no time here tonight as he looks to punish the King of Everything!
Xander rolls back into the ring and looks at Jace before lifting up the chair and swinging it down on the back of Jace as Jace grabs his back. Xander doesn’t stop there, though, as he takes repeated swings targeting Jace’s back before dropping the chair by his feet. Xander reaches down and picks Jace up on his feet and kicks him in the abdomen before leveling him with a DDT onto the chair! Xander covers Jace.

DOS
Joe Hoffman: Kickout there by the champion and Xander is going to have to do more damage if he wants to beat Jace here tonight. I don’t think Jace was expecting Xander’s fast determination here, though, and Xander is showing he’s not afraid of the King of Everything.
Xander pulls JPD back to his feet as he looks to whip him into the corner turnbuckle but JPD manages to maneuver his way out as he sends Xander flying towards the corner turnbuckle. Jace charges at him but Xander get a boot up to the face of Jace which causes Jace to stumble backwards. Xander charges at Jace again and is able to land a neckbreaker on the champion. The champion is down again! Xander goes for another cover on Jace.
UNO

Jace with another defiant kickout.
Joe Hoffman: Xander trying to take any opening that he can to try and pin Jace long enough to get three seconds on him but Jace looks like he’s just about had enough.
Xander shakes his head as he ricochets off the ropes and connects with a dropkick to the face of Jace putting JPD back on his back. Azula rolls out of the ring again and this time, proceeds to grab a kendo stick. The Eternal Circle are cheering him on as he rolls back into the ring again but on the other side of the ring, Abdullah Choi and STRONKETTE are appearing to lose their patience as they stare a hole across the other side of the ring at the Eternal Circle. Xander motions for JPD to get back up to his feet as Jace has no idea what awaits him as he slowly turns around and walks straight into a kendo stick to the head!
Joe Hoffman: My god did you hear that?! I think the whole Best Arena just heard not only that shot to the head, but how hard Jace’s head is to begin with!
Jace grabs his head as Xander starts swinging for the midsection of JPD as he takes swing after swing after swing, punishing Jace with each passing shot. Jace’s side is beat red now with marks from those shots as Xander then takes the kendo stick and begins choking JPD with it from behind! Xander applies more pressure as JPD starts to sink to one knee.
Joe Hoffman: The LSD Champion is in trouble here! I seriously do not think JPD was coming out here to expect this level of fight from Xander and it’s showing!
Finally, Jace is brought down to one knee as Xander can feel like he’s got JPD on the ropes here. This finally allows Choi to step up on the ring apron and shout some words at Xander as his Eternal Circle recognizes what Choi is doing and what’s going to happen next as they start to walk around the ring towards Choi and STRONKETTE.
Joe Hoffman: Oh boy there is about to be absolute chaos, pardon my pun there, as Choi recognized that Jace was in trouble!
Xander released the hold on JPD as he focuses on Choi just for a brief moment. Xander sees his Eternal Circle members heading over to the other side and just nods as he doesn’t stop them from getting involved. Xander turns back around only to be met with a steel chair shot straight to the head sending Xander down to the mat.
Joe Hoffman: MY GOD! JPD JUST BUSTED XANDER OPEN WITH THAT CHAIR SHOT!
JPD looks down at Xander and he’s absolutely pissed. Now, it’s the King of Everything’s turn to take his crack at Azula as he begins to release shot after shot after shot at Xander. JPD lays the chair down and grabs Xander and connects with a german suplex onto the chair. JPD then grabs the kendo stick and begins to repeatedly strike Xander with it. The amount of frustration Jace is unleashing can be proof by how Xander’s body looks when he’s done. Jace’s power completely breaks the kendo stick in half before he finally chucks it out of the ring. Jace covers Xander.

KICKOUT!
Joe Hoffman: I don’t think Jace was expecting Xander to kick out there! But you could tell it was painful for Xander to use the power that he had to kick out of that!
Jace just scoffs and shakes his head as he can’t believe Xander isn’t finished yet.
Jace Parker Davidson: YOU HAVEN’T HAD ENOUGH YET?! VERY WELL!
Jace grabs Xander’s bloodied head as he begins to send right after right closed fists into Azula’s face.
Joe Hoffman: Man, Jace turning Xander into a literal punchline right now.
Chaos isn’t just happening inside the ring but now, outside of it as the Eternal Circle and Abdullah Choi and STRONKETTE are now fighting outside. The Eternal Circle trying to take out the numbers in trying to keep this match up out of Jace’s favor. However, there is no love lost between these two parties.
Back inside the ring, JPD gets Xander back to his feet as he whips him into the ropes. Xander is able to somehow use his awareness and hold onto the ropes much to JPD’s surprise. JPD then rushes towards Xander, but Xander pulls the top rope down sending JPD crashing on the outside. Xander falls to the canvas for just a moment and he is spent. It isn’t helping either that he’s lost a lot of blood due to the chair shot that opened him up really good. Xander uses the ropes to pull himself up as JPD gets back to his feet. The Eternal Circle and Abdullah and STRONKETTE are fighting right behind Jace as Xander shrugs his shoulders and runs and whips off the ropes from the other side. He comes running towards the chaos and leaps over the top rope taking not only JPD down, but the entire Eternal Circle and Abdullah and STRONKETTE.
Joe Hoffman: OH MY GOD!! Xander may have just spent his last amount of energy with that move and now everyone is down! Xander knows what’s on the line here and he doesn’t care what he has to put his body through to get the LSD Championship!
Joel Hortega just shrugs his shoulders as this is a no DQ match which means there are no countouts in this match! JPD is unsurprisingly the first one to his feet as Xander is slow to get back to his feet. Jace has seen enough, though, as he doesn’t even wait for Xander to get back to his feet. Jace grabs Xander and rolls him back in the ring. JPD gets back into the ring before he grabs Xander and whips him into the corner turnbuckle. Jace strikes a few hard lefts into the completely bloodied face of Xander and you can’t even recognize the guy anymore. Jace lifts him up to the top before he calls for the end. Jace is able to lift Xander up as he connects to the canvas.
Joe Hoffman: OFF WITH HIS HEAD!
Xander lies motionless for a few moments as Jace doesn’t immediately go for a fall. Instead he shakes his head and positions the steel chair underneath Xander. Xander gets to his knees and blurry vision and all, gives one final act of defiance towards Jace as he flips off JPD. JPD has seen enough of the games as he rushes towards Xander and connects with Bend the Knee sending Xander straight down into the steel chair! JPD yanks Xander on his back and hooks the leg.

Bryan McVay: Here is your winner, in thirteen minutes and forty two seconds and STIIIIIILLLLL LSD CHAMPION, JACE PARKER DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVIDSOOOOON!
Hortega hands Jace the LSD title as Jace stands over a fallen and bloodied Xander as he raises the title over his head high as he laughs and scoffs towards Xander before rolling out of the ring and retreating up the ramp with Choi and STRONKETTE as the Eternal Circle rush in to tend to an unresponsive Xander.
Joe Hoffman: Xander put up one hell of a fight at the beginning of this match, but Jace was just too much for Xander down the stretch. That chair shot to the head didn’t help matters either…..one has to wonder what Steve Solex thought of tonight’s match as he will be the one climbing into the ring with Jace at ICONIC.
The cameras cut back to the LSD Champion as he celebrates at the top of the ramp as Chaos fades to another commercial break.
GMWIW V2
We come back from commercial to find that Xander Azula has made his way backstage, as far away from ringside as he can after that grueling bout with Jace Parker Davidson. There is a look of frustration resting on his face…and a microphone in his hand, which he raises as he begins to speak, his tone of voice in absolute sync with the underlying tension of his situation.
Xander Azula: This is it, Chicago…I’ve had just about enough of this mess. The past two weeks have seen me face the men who attacked my coach, and try as I might…I just can’t seem to get my point across. So…let’s reassess the situation.
Xander pulls a set of papers out from his pocket, unfolding it to reveal his HOW contract. His eyes are glued to the terms and conditions set within as he speaks up again.
Xander Azula: The sun is starting to set on my contract here in High Octane Wrestling, but I will not go quietly into the night. I will not leave without one final fight…and believe me, I am most definitely entitled to one last hurrah inside that gilded cage. I don’t want to use this willy-nilly, so I am issuing a challenge that I hope doesn’t fall on deaf ears. Give me Mike Best, give me Christopher America, give me GREAT fucking SCOTT if you must…but so help me, someone is getting their ass whopped inside that cage under my conditions before this contract runs up.
Xander folds the paper back up, stuffing it back into his pocket before continuing once more.
Xander Azula: It seems I’ve been beating around the bush a little too much the past couple of months, so hopefully I’ve spelled things out well enough for people to follow. I’ve taken down Hall of Famers and legends on this path, and I am exhausted…but I cannot ride off into the sunset until I’ve finished what I’ve started. I don’t care if it happens next week, or after ICONIC…but I know what I must do. Let’s see if any of you are willing to step into that cage and accept the ass whoopin’ you deserve, fellas.
With one final stern glare, Xander storms off as we cut away!
I HEARD YOU CHAMP
The action cuts to another section backstage where we see Christopher America walking towards Gorilla for his match. He stretches out his arms and shoulders, a smirk across his face.
He rounds a corner and stops. Leaning against the wall is the massive frame of Clay Byrd. Byrd pushes himself up, walks over to America and glares down at him.
Clay Byrd: You’ve been talking a lot of shit about me.
America smirks.
Christopher America: Oh, you finally noticed! Is this where you try to insult me back?
Clay Byrd: Could be. But I want to make sure I heard you right.
The Monster from Plainview leans in closer, his massive frame casting a shadow over America. America’s smile slowly fades.
Clay Byrd: So say it… again.
As Byrd pushes his face even closer, America turns his away and scowls. Byrd is now breathing heavily as America drops the HOW World Championship. He takes a step back from Byrd.
Christopher America: I—I would love to but I have a championship to defend.
Byrd looks down at the HOW World Championship. He picks it up and looks at it before looking back at America. He places the championship on America’s shoulder and slaps the title hard, practically knocking America down.
Clay Byrd: Good luck… champ.
America fumes, adjusts the championship and attempts to compose himself as he walks towards the curtain as we head to our final commercial break of the evening.
#15 SCOTT STEVENS VS. #7 CHRISTOPHER AMERICA
After the last commercial break of the evening is over, we come back to the ringside area of The Best Arena here in Chicago. The fans are hot ready to see the main event of the evening. The camera pans the crowd and shows off different signs supporting either Scott Stevens or the Champion Christopher America. The camera finally settles on the announcer’s table where Joe Hoffman is ready to call tonight’s main event match.
Joe Hoffman: Welcome back to Chaos 017 ladies and gentlemen. We’ve taken our last commercial break from the evening which means you will witness our main event in its entirety. The HOW World Championship is on the line as HOW Hall of Famer and Co-War Games winner Christopher America defends against fellow HOW Hall of Famer and one half of the new HOTv World Tag Team Champions in Scott Stevens.
Joe pauses as the crowd cheers wildly as the graphic for the main event is shown on the HOV.
Joe Hoffman: This promises to be a war of attrition. Let’s send it to the ring where Bryan McVay is ready to make the introductions for this big time match!
The camera pans to the center of the ring where Bryan McVay is standing next to referee Matt Boettcher. McVay has his microphone in hand and waits for the crowd to settle down. The lights in the arena dim as McVay raises the microphone up to his lips.
Bryan McVay: The next contest is the main event of the evening… and it’s for the HOW World Championship!!!!
Huge pop from the crowd.
Bryan McVay: Introducing first The Challenger…
The lights in the arena go black as a synthesized hymn begins to play as the High Octane Vision comes to life as an angelic voice begins to sing.
“Born from pain, inside my veins.
Bred for war, begging for more.
None shall mourn, I am reborn.
Live in sin. The House always wins.”
The hymn continues as the screen begins to show the Best Arena transformed into a style of a church and the screen slowly flashes the words…..
WELCOME…..TO…..THE …..HOUSE……OF….BEST
Lee Best’s infamous blood shot eyes hover above the top. The lights in the arena begin to come on in a shade of 97 Red as smoke and fog begin to fill the stage area as well. The sound of glass breaking is heard as the screen shows a crack over the mural of the Best Arena and Lee Best’s eyes as “O FORTUNA EXCALIBUR REMIX” by Apotheosis begins. Lights above the ring shine down to create a 97 Red HOB. The stage flashes with alternating red and white lights as Scott Stevens makes his way out onto the stage.
Bryan McVay: From The Great State of Texas and representing the HOUSE OF BEST! One half of the HOTv World Tag Team Champions. he is the “Demi-God of HOW!” SCOTT! STEEEEEEEVEEEEEEEENS!
Stevens’ 97 Red circular sunglasses glisten in the light and his devilish grin plasters his face. Scott drinks in his own hype as he lifts his right arm and points to the heavens before he begins to slowly walk toward the ring. As he does so he carries the Book of Best front and center of his chest while his half of the HOTv World Tag Team Championship belts glistens around his waist. he sticks as close to the center of the ramp as possible to avoid being touched by the heathens that line the barricade. As Scott climbs up onto the mat, the massive Cross of Best hangs around his neck like jewelry. Scott wipes his feet off on the edge of the ring, his smile never leaving his face.
Joe Hoffman: After a hellacious main event last week Scott Stevens and Jace Parker Davidson defeated The Highwaymen to become the new HOTv World Tag Team Champions. A match in which Christopher America acted as referee. However, once the match was over it was America laying out Stevens with that belt around his waist. America told Stevens he doesn’t belong but tonight? Even though Stevens walks to the beat of his own drum, he has a chance to become the HOW World Champion for a third time.
Moving towards the center of the ring, Scott bathed in the red lettering, drops to a knee before looking up with his eyes closed towards the heavens mouthing something as he is bathed in the sinister glow of 97 Red. Once his prayer is done he slowly lowers the hood of his jacket and lifts his arm high into the air as the music dies and the house lights return signaling Scott to take off the Cross of Best and kiss it before making his way to his corner to prepare for his match.
Bryan McVay: And his opponent…
“THE COMMAND OF THE CONSTITUTION IS PLAIN!”
America stands proudly with the HOW World Championship belt around his waist. He moves his hand away from his heart as begins to march down to the ring. America talks trash towards Scott Stevens as he approaches ringside. However, the Champion still seems kind of paranoid looking over his shoulders and being suspicious of the fans at the line the barricade. America makes his way up the steel ring steps then slowly walks along the ring apron.
Joe Hoffman: Christopher America has mowed through Steve Solex and Steve Harrison. He’s helped put Joe Bergman on the shelf but at ICONIC, America takes on the challenge of Clay Byrd. Could America be rattled here tonight after his encounter with Byrd before our last commercial break? Is America even focused on Scott Stevens right now or is he overlooking the man he laid out last week in favor of his challenger at ICONIC?
Scott Stevens rushes towards America but America orders Boettcher to force Stevens back to his corner. Boettcher does his job and forces Stevens back as America steps through the ropes and enters the ring. America unstraps his prized possession from around his waist then hoists it high into the air to another chorus of boos. America points towards Scott Stevens before backing up towards his corner. McVay exits the ring as Boettcher walks over and gets the title belt from America. Boettcher walks to the center of the ring then holds the title high into the air as America continues to trash talk Stevens. Boettcher hands the title belt to the outside then calls for the bell to signal the start of the match.
DING DING
Stevens comes out of his corner hot and races across the ring towards America. Stevens leaps into the air and catches America with a stinger splash in the corner while America was looking towards the stage. America is crunched against the turnbuckle before Stevens begins unloading big right hands to the head of the Champion. The repeated assault breaks down America to the canvas before switches to mudhole stomps to the chest of his undefeated opponent. Boettcher comes off and starts a five count on Stevens but the Challenger only pauses to flip off America before planting one final stomp to the face.
Joe Hoffman: Scott Stevens is a house of fire right now unloading on Christopher America here. I’m pretty sure America has been thrown off of his game here tonight and Scott Stevens is taking full advantage of the situation.
Stevens leans down to grab a hold of America but the Champion counters with a thumb to the eye that causes Stevens to stagger. America pulls himself up to his feet then buries a knee to the midsection then grabs him by the arm. America whips Stevens into the ropes but Stevens reverses the whip and sends America into the ropes. America bounces off the ropes and takes a mighty swing.
Joe Hoffman: AMBER WAVES OF PAIN!
The big clothesline from hell by America misses because Stevens ducks under it. America turns around and charges towards Stevens but Stevens catches America and plants him with a Double S spinebuster down to the canvas. Stevens immediately hooks the leg and makes the cover on America as Boettcher slides in for the count.
Matt Boettcher: ONE
KICKOUT BY AMERICA.
Joe Hoffman: Scott Stevens not wasting any time there going for the cover after that spinebuster but Christopher America kicked out at one. We’ll see if Stevens is able to keep up the pressure in this match.
Scott Stevens gets back up to his feet then reaches down and grabs a hold of America. Stevens puts America in a front headlock then tries to lift him into the air for a suplex but America uses his leg to block the attempt. Stevens clubs America across the back then tries for the suplex once again. Stevens gets America midway up but America kicks his legs and lands back on the canvas. America buries another knee to the midsection which causes Stevens to break his grip. America winds up and levels Stevens with an American uppercut that sends him crashing down the canvas.
Joe Hoffman: Christopher America just rocked the jaw of Scott Stevens so hard it took him off of his feet. We’ll see if America can mount some sustained offense in this match now that he’s stopped Stevens’ momentum.
America takes a moment to shake the cobwebs loose then looks out at the crowd who begin booing. America snapping his head around searching the audience before turning his attention back towards Stevens who is pulling himself back up. American grabs a hold of Stevens then lifts him into the air and hits him with a body slam. Stevens hits the canvas hard as America grabs a hold of him by the hair. America pulls Stevens to his feet then lifts him high into the air before bringing him back down to the canvas with a vertical suplex. America is quick to get back up to his feet then stalks around Stevens as he struggles to get off of the mat. As Stevens gets back up to his feet, America hits him with a kick to his knee braced leg. Stevens drops down to one knee before America hits him with a snap DDT down to the canvas. America makes the cover on Stevens and grinds his forearm in his face as Boettcher slides in for the count.
Matt Boettcher: ONE
Matt Boettcher: TWO
KICKOUT BY STEVENS.
Joe Hoffman: Good combination of moves there by Christopher America but he forgot to hook the leg. He actually spent that entire pin attempt looking over the arena in case Clay Byrd or someone else would pop up out of nowhere. If America keeps on like this Stevens might just pull off what most would think would be an upset.
America gets up to his feet then grabs a hold of Stevens. America pulls Stevens up to his feet then sets him up for an evenflow DDT but Stevens counters by running America spine first into the corner. Stevens begins ramming his shoulder repeatedly into the midsection of America who gasps for air after every shot. Stevens grabs a hold of America and goes to whip him out of the corner but America reverses and goes for another clothesline but Stevens ducks it again. America turns around and…
Joe Hoffman: REMEMBER THE ALAMO CONNECTS AND BOTH MEN ARE DOWN!
Stevens catches America flush right under the chin as both men fall to the canvas. Boettcher begins a ten count as both men try to recover and get back up to their feet. America is the first one back to his feet followed by Stevens. America grabs a hold of Stevens from behind and goes for an American suplex but Stevens blocks it. America clubs Stevens across the back of the neck and tries again but Stevens counters with a victory roll hooking both of America’s legs as Boettcher slides in for the count.
Matt Boettcher: ONE
Matt Boettcher: TWO
Matt Boettcher: THR–
KICKOUT BY AMERICA!
Joe Hoffman: That was a little too close for comfort for Christopher America. We were a half a count away from crowning Scott Stevens the new HOW World Champion right there!
Both men are quickly back up to their feet. America charges Stevens but Stevens catches him with an arm bar takedown and immediately locks in Total Submission To The House Of Best in the center of the ring. Boettcher drops down and asks America if he wants to submit as Stevens cranks back on the hold.
Christopher America: NEVER!
Stevens continues to apply pressure to the hold as America fights through the pain. The Champion knows he needs to fight his way over towards the ropes before he’s forced to relinquish the title to Scott Stevens. America slowly but surely begins to crawl over towards the ropes. Stevens continues to crank back on the hold then screams down at America.
Scott Stevens: TAP OUT! THAT TITLE IS AS GOOD AS MINE!
America raises his hand into the air like he’s going to tap out but through sheer determination America balls his hand into a fist. America plants his fist onto the canvas then reaches out with his boot and hooks it on the bottom rope. Boettcher gets up to his feet and begins a five count for Stevens to release the submission hold. Stevens lets go of America at 4.9999 then pulls himself up back up his feet. America rolls out of the ring clutching his shoulder but Stevens follows him to the outside. Stevens grabs a hold of America from behind and runs him shoulder first right into the steel ring steps. America crashes with a sickening thud before Stevens walks over. Stevens lays in some stomps to the shoulder before rolling America back into the ring.
Joe Hoffman: Christopher America might be in trouble here and I think Scott Stevens smells blood in the water.
Stevens slides back into the ring then gets back up to his feet. Stevens crouches down in the corner as America staggers back up to a vertical base. As America turns around Stevens races out of the corner then connects with The Fist that sends America crashing back down to the canvas. Stevens doesn’t give America any time to recover as he reaches down and begins to peel the Champion off of the mat. Stevens grips America by the waist then gets him into position. Stevens looks out at the crowd then spikes America down to the canvas with the Scorpion Driver. Stevens hooks the leg and makes the cover on America as Boettcher slides in for the count.

NOOOOO! AMERICA GETS HIS SHOULDER UP AT THE LAST POSSIBLE SECOND!!!
Joe Hoffman: You can’t get much closer than that without becoming the new HOW World Champion. Everyone in the building thought that one was over, including Scott Stevens! If this was an NFL game I think Scott Stevens would be throwing the challenge flag on that count from Boettcher!
Stevens sits up on the canvas and runs his hands through his hair in disbelief that America managed to beat the three count. Stevens pulls himself up to his feet and shows three fingers to Boettcher but the referee confirms it was only a two count. The crowd suddenly begins booing very loudly while America tries to recover on the canvas.
Joe Hoffman: You can’t be serious!
The source of the crowd’s disdain is none other than the current HOW LSD Champion Jace Parker Davidson. Jace is still in his ring gear and has both the ICON and LSD Championship belts strapped around his waist. He has his half of the HOTv World Tag Team Championship belts displayed over his shoulder. Stevens turns around and sees Jace at ringside while the fans continue to boo. Stevens leans over the top rope and begins shouting at Jace but the LSD Champion just pats the HOTv World Tag Team Championship on his shoulder. Jace points over at America and tells Stevens to get his head in the game.
Joe Hoffman: Jace said earlier tonight he was going to get an up close and personal view of this match but where does his allegiance lie? Is he here to support his tag team partner Scott Stevens or is he here to help screw Scott Stevens out of the HOW World Championship belt?
Stevens narrows his eyes but turns his attention back towards the ring where America is using the ropes to pull himself back up to his feet. Stevens lifts America up onto his shoulder and goes for Houston We Have A Problem but America manages to slip free and land on his feet behind Stevens. America grabs a hold of Stevens quickly and then snaps him up and over with an American suplex down to the canvas. Stevens rolls around on the canvas holding the back of his head. America remains on the canvas but sees Jace for the first time at ringside. Jace begins clapping his hands applauding America’s efforts as a sinister smile spreads across the Champion’s face.
Joe Hoffman: First Jace was giving instructions to Stevens but now he’s cheering on America. I think the look on America’s face says it all. The fix is in ladies and gentlemen and this is going to be last week all over again!
America confidently climbs to his feet as Stevens uses the ropes to pull himself up to his feet in the corner. America gets a head start then levels Stevens in the corner with a running American uppercut. Stevens staggers out of the corner but America snaps him down to the canvas with a powerslam. America gets back up to his feet then begins dropping repeated knees to the head of Stevens. America returns to his feet then grabs a hold of Stevens. America pulls Stevens back up to his feet then grabs him by the neck. America spikes Stevens down to the canvas with an evenflow DDT. America hooks the leg and makes the cover on Stevens as Boettcher slides in for the count.

NOOOOO!!!! STEVENS GOT HIS FOOT ON THE BOTTOM ROPE!!!
Joe Hoffman: America seems locked in now and I guess that’s what happens when you have Jace at ringside to protect you from Clay Byrd. However, even after that evenflow DDT, Stevens managed to get his foot on the bottom rope. Scott Stevens will not give up and America seems to be getting frustrated!
Jace begins to pace back and forth at ringside looking worried. America pounds his fist onto the canvas in anger over not expecting it to take this long to put down Scott Stevens. America marches back up to his feet and decides to not waste anymore time. America grabs Stevens and pulls him back up to his feet. America grabs Stevens around the neck and sets up to hit For America! 2.0 but Stevens counters by muscling America up onto his shoulders.
Joe Hoffman: HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM!
Stevens connects with the Death Valley Driver down to the canvas but in the process of hitting the move, Boettcher is hit in the face with America’s boot and is out on the canvas. The crowd stands on their feet waiting for Jace to make his move as both Stevens and America struggle their way back up to their feet. Jace races over to the timekeeper’s table as Stevens stalks around America. As America turns around Stevens leaps into the air.
Joe Hoffman: TOXIC STING!
Stevens brings America down to the canvas hard with his finishing move. Stevens hooks the leg and makes the cover on America but soon realizes there is no referee. Stevens pulls himself up to his feet and then begins to kick and shout at Boettcher to get up to do his job. Jace manages to wrestle the HOW World Championship belt away from the timekeeper then races back to the other side of the ring. Jace begins to pound on the ring apron and shout at America to get back up to his feet. Slowly, America starts to pull his way off of the canvas as Jace tosses the #97red over the top rope to him.
Joe Hoffman: INTERCEPTION! SCOTT STEVENS CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND CATCH THE CHAMPIONSHIP BELT INTENDED FOR CHRISTOPHER AMERICA!
Stevens picks the title out of the air as Jace begins to panic at ringside. Stevens looks down at the title belt that he’s held twice before then levels America with a shot to the head with the Championship. America is out cold on the canvas as Stevens tosses away the belt and flips Jace the bird. Stevens hooks the leg and makes the cover on America as Boettcher slowly crawls over to make the count.

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! BOETTCHER WAVES OFF MCVAY AND SAYS THAT AMERICA GOT HIS SHOULDER UP!!!!!!
Joe Hoffman: HOLY SHIIIII— WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!?! BOETTCHER SAYS AMERICA GOT HIS SHOULDER OFF OF THE CANVAS BUT IT’S HAD TO HAVE BEEN PURE INSTINCT!!! STEVENS HAD AMERICA DEAD TO RIGHTS BUT ITS STILL NOT OVER!!!!!
Jace falls to his knees on the outside of the ring and grabs at his chest. Everyone inside of the arena just about has a cardiac event over that closer than close three count. Stevens gets back up to his feet then signals to both Jace and the crowd that he’s going to end this once and for all. Stevens leans down and grabs a hold of America by his red stained hair from being busted open from the shot with the Championship belt. Stevens shoves America’s head between his legs and grabs him by the waist. Stevens lifts America into the air…
Joe Hoffman: GAME CHANGER!!!
NOOOOOOO!!!! America lands back on his feet then counters with a back body drop that sends Stevens crashing down the canvas. America staggers forward and falls but the top rope manages to keep him on his feet. Stevens staggers back up to his feet as America turns around. America charges and hits Stevens with a chop block to the back of his bad knee.
Joe Hoffman: OH MY LEE! AMERICA MIGHT HAVE JUST DISLOCATED HIS OWN SHOULDER TO HIT STEVENS WITH A CHOP BLOCK TO THAT KNEE BRACED KNEE! THE CHAMPION IS HOWLING IN AGONY AND STEVENS IS HOLDING HIS KNEE IN PAIN ON THE CANVAS!
America rolls around on the canvas clutching his shoulder while screaming in pain. Stevens curls into the fetal position holding his knee. Boettcher pulls himself back up to his feet for the first time since being knocked out and begins a ten count. Jace pulls himself back up to his feet then begins pounding on the ring apron and shouting. By the count of seven America fights his way back up to his feet using his one good arm. Stevens hobbles on one up to his feet on one good leg. America sneers towards his opponent before reaching out and grabbing a hold of Stevens from behind.
Joe Hoffman: FOR AMERICA! 2.0
America plants Stevens down to the canvas with his finisher. America once again clutches his shoulder but leans back against Stevens to make the cover as Boettcher slides in for the count.

Bryan McVay: Here is your winner… AND STILLLLLLL THE HOW WORLD CHAMPION! CHISTOPHERRRRRRRR AMERICAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
Boettcher gets up to his feet then collects the HOW World Championship belt then presents it to America who is still holding his shoulder. Jace breathes a sigh of relief at ringside and begins clapping his hands together for America.
Joe Hoffman: Damn! Scott Stevens came so close to ending America’s winning streak and capturing the HOW World Championship but America survives by the skin of his teeth. Jace tried to screw Scott Stevens here tonight but even with the odds stacked against him Stevens almost beat Christopher America. How do things play out from here? Is the bond between America and Jace even stronger? How do Jace and Stevens co-exist as HOTv World Tag Team Champions after this? A lot of questions that need to be answered.
America gets to his feet clutching the title to his chest with his bad arm as Boettcher raises his good arm into the air. Stevens rolls over and stares daggers at Jace on the outside of the ring. Jace just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders as Chaos goes off the air.
BONUS
But Chaos does NOT go off the air.
Jace disappears backstage as the crowd is still buzzing over the finish.
Suddenly the HOV comes to life above the entrance ramp and everyone in the arena, including everyone in the ring, look up to see what is going on.
We cut backstage where we see dozens of folks running down the hall of the Best Arena. Several medics can be heard screaming to “MAKE A HOLE” as they come flying down the halfway…stretcher in tow.
Finally, a camera gets into position, and we see what is causing the scene.
There are two bodes laid out on the concrete. Blood puddling up behind their heads. The overwhelming smell of gasoline causes several people to back up several feet.
The medics scramble into position and begin tending to the injured.
“WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON???”
Those that were still lingering instantly begin walking in the opposite direction from the voice of GOD.
One brave cameraman stays in position and points his camera at Lee Best and several EPU agents making their way fast towards the fallen.
“DID THAT FAT FUCK LEAVE THE STOVE ON AGAIN…….I WILL FIRE THAT YELLOW DYE #5 LOVING MOTHERFUCKER….”
Lee stops as he sees the bodies on the floor.
He turns towards the EPU agent closest to him and whispers something in the man’s ear. A moment later and all the EPU agents have scrambled in different directions.
Lee pulls his cell phone out of his pocket and opens up his security app and rolls back the footage as the medics continue to tend to the men.
As the attack plays out on Lee’s phone he turns and begins walking briskly down the hall.
As the video ends with the assailants being shown dumping gasoline in a circle around the two bodies, Lee reaches the security room. He promptly kicks the door open…
“WHY THE FUCK DID NO ONE REPORT THIS WHILE IT WAS HAPPENING???!!!!
Lee stops in his tracks as he sees the man sitting behind the monitors is clearly unconscious.
Frustrated, Lee looks back down at his phone and pauses the video and zooms in on the men’s faces on the screen.
Adam Ellis and Joe Bergman.
Suddenly a medic enters the room…..causing Lee to jump.
“WHAT?!”
Medic: Sir….both Jace and Choi will be fine. Choi for sure has a concussion…and sir………here.
The medic hands an object to Lee and the GOD of HOW can only smirk.
Medic: It was next to the bodies. We are lucky we did not have any sparks near the bodies…that would have been…..well that would not have been good.
Lee just scoffs and motions for the medic to leave him as he looks down at the MVW branded Zippo lighter in his hand.
Lee Best: About time you Heartland assholes fought fire with fire….
Lee smirks as he puts the lighter in his suit pocket and exits the room as we cut back inside the arena as the feed from the HOV goes black.
We see that the World Champion is long gone, obviously having made a mad dash backstage to help, but inside the ring we see one Scott Stevens and standing behind him are Adam Ellis and Joe Bergman.
The Chicago crowd are screaming but Stevens never sees the two men.
Bergman grabs the man by the back of the head and locks him in his Dragon Sleeper as Ellis watches the entrance ramp.
Chaos comes to an end as Steven’s body goes limp, and we see EPU agents begin to rush down the entrance ramp.
