A new Men’s Heartland Champion was crowned last night at the final show of MVW’s weekend tour through Kansas.   The ten match card featured four #1 contender’s matches and Men’s and Women’s Heartland title matches.

Sunday July 31st, 2022- Cook Center / Dodge City, Kansas
Jill Berg Enterprises started the show in the ring and CEO Jill Berg first announced Women’s Heartland Champion ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin is joining the corporation.  Then she spoke about tonight matches inolving JBE.  Berg declared that after tonight, JBE would be in prime position to bring home the gold in the Women’s and Women’s Tag Team division to go along with the Women’s Heartland title currently held by Martin.  Berg brags there’s ‘no stopping Jill Berg Enterprises’ tonight.

#1 CONTENDER-WOMEN’S HEARTLAND: #2 ‘Precious’ Patty McBride defeated #1 Yosemite Samantha
McBride spent the summer break working on a few things and it’s appeared to have paid off so far.  She had her way with Yosemite Samantha throughout the match except towards the end when the “The roughest, toughest, rootinest, shootinest cowgirl who ever crossed the Rio Grande” came to life.  Yosemite Samantha went for it and nearly had her opponent in trouble until McBride decided to Belly Up to the Armbar and that was it.

McBride now goes for the Women’s Heartland title later on in the show against the ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin.

#1 CONTENDER-MEN’S HEARTLAND: #2 ‘Big Don’ Dickinson defeated #1 ‘Rock Star’ Robbie Marrs
Marrs jumped all over Big Don in the early going and nearly dropped a Hammer of the Gods on him.  But Dickinson rode out the storm and progressively turned the tide in his favor as the match wore on.  He submitted Marrs with the Southern Stretch Muffler to earn his shot at Men’s Heartland Champion Ricky Stevens.

#1 CONTENDER-WOMEN’S TAG TEAM: #2 Jill Berg Enterprises (Sheline Carrigan/Prisoner #034291) defeated #1 The Missouri Valley Fight Club (Carrieanne McDermott/Harley Davisson)
Match of the night.  The MVFC started fast.  JBE found themselves battling back time and time again until Carrigan planted Davisson with the Canadian Destroyer late and gave Jill Berg Enterprises a huge win.  Next for JBE; Women’s Tag Team Champions The Hanson Sisters on August 16th in Des Moines, Iowa for the title.

#1 CONTENDER-WOMEN’S DIVISION: #2 Lisa Barbosa-Stevens defeated #1 Shizuko Yamazaki
Barbosa-Stevens made it a clean sweep for the #2 ranked wrestlers tonight.  She outlasted the former champion who made clear early on that she would not be relinquishing her #1 contender’s status without a fight. Barbosa-Stevens would catch Yamazaki charging in and hit the Toxic Sting on the Shadow Warrior to put an end to the match.  She now can claim her 5th Women’s title if she can find a way to defeat Women’s Champion Victoria McGill in Des Moines, Iowa in two weeks.

WOMEN’S HEARTLAND TITLE: #1 ‘Precious’ Patty McBride defeated ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin © via DQ- Martin retains the title
Neither the champion nor McBride could gain the upper hand in this one.  With Jill Berg Enterprises all accounted for at ringside, CEO Jill Berg decided to make a point by sending in Carrigan, Prisoner #034291, and Lisa Barbosa-Stevens to deliver a corporate styled beatdown of the outnumbered McBride. Referee Corrina Romanov DQ’s Martin immediately giving McBride her biggest MVW win yet- but at a price.  She had to be stretchered out after the match.

MEN’S HEARTLAND TITLE: #1 ‘Big Don’ Dickinson defeated Ricky Stevens © to become the new Men’s Heartland Champion
Dickinson used his power to take Stevens out of his game throughout the match.  But no one expected R.G. Jenkins and Mark Hendry to show up at ringside causing confusion.  Jenkins and Hendry’s appearance caused the Men’s Tag Team Champions The Stevens Dynasty to come to the ring to keep an eye on Ricky Stevens- younger brother of Scott Stevens, son of Stevens Dynasty Patriarch Cary Stevens.  Big Don’ focused on overpowering his opponent and late in the match slapped on the Southern Stretch Muffler on Stevens.  Cary, Bo, and George Stevens hopped up to the ring apron and distracted referee Davey Keels. In turn, ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson came out and he walked down to the ring to have a word with the Stevens.  Cary and Bill get into a rather animated conversation.  Bo and George then attack Bill Dickinson.  Jenkins and Hendry ran up and attacked the Stevens Dynasty. In the confusion, Big Don slapped on the Southern Stretch Muffler.  Stevens tapped out.  And we have a new Men’s Heartland Champion- ‘Big Don’ Dickinson.

After the match, Sunny O’Callahan- dressed in a spaghetti strap top and jeans, hair frizzed out, and looking the part of a background singer from a 70’s Southern rock band- joined Jenkins, Hendry, and the Dickinson Brothers.  She took the mic and declared she now works with… The Alabama Gang.
