Last weekend, Ricky Stevens defeated ‘Big Don’ Dickinson but could not advance past John O’Reilly. With the win over Stevens, O’Reilly will face Captain Jack next Tuesday night in Carbondale, IL in a #1 contender’s match.
The loss puts ‘Big Don’ Dickinson in the drop zone. He will battle the Men’s Heartland #1 contender either J.J. Bittinger, Buckshot Henderson, or Scott Stevens on October 22nd to stay in the Men’s Division.

Henderson almost ran the table until he ran into J.J. Bittinger in the #1 contender’s match. Bittinger defeated Henderson and as a result, he’ll go on to face champion ‘The Demi-God of HOW’ Scott Stevens next Tuesday for the title. Henderson moves up to #2. Ken Kardoucheian, ‘Rock Star’ Robbie Marrs, and Average Joe all drop back one spot.
Average Joe is in the drop zone now and will face Bracken Krueger Saturday night for his #5 ranking in the Men’s Heartland Division on MVW’s Six-O-Five show.

Newcomer Daryn Thompson showed why MVW Owner Ray McAvay was very excited to bring her into the company as she rolled past the inexperienced Madison Carter and Angelica Dugan to set up a match this Saturday against the #5 ranked (Women’s Heartland Division) Lauren Wade. If Thompson wins, she will advance up into the Women’s Heartland Division and Wade will be relegated out.

This weekend, the Carmondy Cup takes center stage again with 5th Round singles and 3rd Round tag team tournament matches on tap
In the Women’s singles matches this weekend, Madison Carter drew the ‘Queen of the Trailer Park’ Lani Harlot and will advance due to Harlot’s injury last weekend at the hands of Eva Perrin. Carter’s name will be in the hat for the 6th Round. Daryn Thompson looks to continue her impressive start in MVW when she faces Jenelle Jenkins.
The Men’s singles tournament features a pair of matches. Heartland Champion ‘The Demi-God of HOW’ Scott Stevens drew Corey Beckett in the first Men’s single match and MVW newcomers Bracken Krueger and Kenichiro Yamamoto in the later match.
The Women’s Tag Team Tournament 3rd Round matches see six-time Tag Team Champions Angels of Death taking on LATX and The Working Girls facing Bergman’s Barn Women’s Tag Team Champions Laney Harrison and McLean Oswald.
In the Men’s Tag Team Tournament, the fast-rising Alabama Gang run into underdogs youngsters Brett and Bob Murray in the first match. The nightcap match sees Surf Express Bro wrestling the Georgia-Florida State Boundary.
Ray McAvay will be on hand and there will be a drawing at the end of Saturday’s show to set the matches for the 6th Round singles and 4th Round tag team matches on October 28th.
On MVW’s Six-O-Five Saturday night, the No Quarter tag team of Daryn Thompson and Bracken Krueger will come off their Carmondy Cup matches the night before to try and break into their respective Heartland Divisions.
Tuesday night’s Carbondale, Illinois house show features Men’s and Women’s Heartland title matches and two #1 contender’s matches (Men’s, Men’s Tag Team Division).
