August 3rd, 2019 – Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois
Outgoing MVW CEO Jill Berg is in the ring to announce the name of the NEW MVW CEO.
Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann thinks he’s going to be the one who’s chosen.
So does Corporate Sports(Entertainment) Programming Nation CEO Mark Splitter.
Both wait with high expectations Berg begins to make the announcement.
Jill Berg: Well. This decision wasn’t an easy one. When you have to make a call that will affect the future of a company, you want to make sure you get it right. MVW Owner Jason Carmondy and I have spent the better part of the past week kicking this back and forth. The addition of Mark Splitter to this process also gave us plenty of food for thought. But we’ve made our decision and tonight, I am pleased to announce to you who we have chosen to take Missouri Valley Wrestling forward into the future.
On the floor, both ‘Sports Entertainment Genius’ Mr. McMann and CSPN CEO Mark Splitter wait anxiously.
Jason Carmondy steps forward.
Jason Carmondy: So, without any further ado. We are proud to announce that the new CEO of Missouri Valley Wrestling is…MR. M-
Carmondy doesn’t get the rest of the name out before a thunderous explosion of boos fill the arena.
Mr. McMann, very pleased and smiling, raises his arms in the air. He begins to take a victory lap around the ring. He doesn’t see-
Johnny Suave: Hold on! Why is Ray McAvay climbing into the ring?
McAvay, dressed in a dark Hawaiian print shirt and jeans with tennis shoes, calmly slides in between the ropes and walks over to Berg and Carmondy.
McMann finally sees him and stops.
Jill Berg: That’s right! Mr. Ray McAVAY!
The boos do a 180 into cheers.
McMann’s jaw drops.
Splitter’s face turns beet red. He’s spitting pissed off.
Johnny Suave: HOLY CRAP! I DON’T BELIEVE IT! RAY McAVAY IS THE NEW MVW CEO!
Cue the pyro…

Thunderbolt welcomes everyone on HOTv AND the PWA networks to Wrestling Night in the Heartland from the MVW Television Studio in St. Louis, Missouri.
Ray McAvay is in the ring along with his wife Stacee Perry and we go right to him.
MVW OWNER RAY McAVAY SPEAKS
McAvay welcomes everyone watching tonight… in the MVW Studio tonight live… everyone watching on HOTv… and a big hello and welcome to the viewers watching Wrestling Night in the Heartland on the brand new PWA network.
He acknowledges that this is the 3 year anniversary of when he became the CEO of MVW and then pivots to explain that MVW has also been a part of HOTv for the past three years with High Octane Wrestling.
McAvay says that the landscape has changed dramatically since June 26th- the night of Wrestling Night in America. MVW comes back from a Summer break as part of a six company interfed called the Phoenix Wrestling Alliance.
Now, not only will MVW shows air on HOTv, they will also be shown on the PWA network.
Who are the other federations?
Cue the video screen for a look at the other five federations who will make up the Phoenix Wrestling Alliance:
High Octane Wrestling– Returning after a nearly three year hiatus in the spring of 2019, HOW is currently ran by Lee and his son Michael Best. Lee continues to focus on day to day operations along with website creation with Michael lending a hand on day to day operations and also working with Scott Woodson on graphics. MVW has a long-standing relationship with HOW. MVW owner Ray McAvay is a former MVW World Champion. MVW Trainer Joe Bergman is a two-time World Champion and Tag Team Champion. HOW has a weekly show (Chaos) and features four singles titles (World, ICON, LSD, and HOTv) and a tag team title as well.
PRIME Wrestling- A longtime mainstay of the PTC, PRIME returned in January 2022 with a bi-weekly television show (Revival) and has run two pay per view shows- Culture Shock and Great American Nightmare so far this year. PRIME features four titles: Universal, 5-Star, Intense, and Tag Team. Legendary wrestling star Lindsay Troy is the President and CEO of PRIME.
SHOOT Project- SHOOT is led by President “Real Deal” Josh Johnson. They returned in 2020 and features seven different champions: Heavywight, Tag Team, Battalion, Iron Fist, Rule of Surrender, Sin City, and Shut Up and Fight. SHOOT features two bi-weekly shows: Revolution and Ruination.
Sanctioned Violence Organization- Another longtime company, sVo returned in November 2020 after a seven-year absence with bi-weekly shows. Jon Page is the owner of the sVo. The sVo runs two bi-weekly shows… Showdown and Uprising… and features the sVo, Las Vegas, Roulette, and Tag Team titles.
Online Championship Wrestling- Established in 1999 and currently owned by majority owner Thaddeus Duke and minority owners Marcus Welsh and Mike Zybala, OCW returned from a brief hiatus and currently runs a weekly television show called Monday Night Massacre. Current titles are the: OCW, Craze, Savage, Paradigm, TransAtlantic, and Tag Team.
McAvay wraps up by thanking everyone once again and hopes everyone enjoys tonight’s show.
Cut back to the broadcast desk, Thunderbolt brings in ‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall and asks him for his thoughts.
Hall’s Observations:
-The big takeaway from this? There will be potentially more eyes on the MVW product and that’s not a bad thing.
MORE CHANGE
Thunderbolt also announces that Wrestling Night in the Heartland is now officially ninety minutes and will be moving permanently to Tuesday nights starting next week.
TONIGHT’S SHOW
-MVW will recap the June 26th pay per view show Wrestling Night in America featuring six title matches that night along with a grudge match between two old foes.
-We will also have a #1 contender’s match tonight in the Women’s Division.
Thunderbolt throws it to ‘Long Haul’ Rick Hall to preview tonight’s main event, taped in Dodge City, Kansas on Sunday night.
Women’s #1 Contender’s Match: #1 ‘The Shadow Warrior’ Shizuko Yamazaki vs. #2 Lisa Barbosa-Stevens
Hall’s Preview:
-Yamazaki lost the Women’s Title at Wrestling Night in America in June in a close match to Victoria McGill.
-Lisa Barbosa-Stevens needed some outside help from Jill Berg Enterprises to survive a really tough match against Debbie the Destroyer in to get here tonight.
-Can Yamazaki rebound from losing the title and bounce right back for a rematch against McGill?
-Will Barbosa-Stevens have enough gas left in the tank to get past Yamazaki?
-Winner earns a Women’s title shot on August 16th in Des Moines, Iowa.
Thunderbolt says the stage is set. It’s time to begin recapping what went down at Wrestling Night in America.
GRUDGE MATCH: Eva Perrin with Colonel John Perrin vs. ‘Queen of the Trailer Park’ Lani Harlot with the White Trash Posse (Shayne and Jaxson)
These two women have fought bitterly for years. What set up the latest battle between Perrin and Harlot started off as the two putting their animosity aside and teaming up to drive the Hollywood Royals out of MVW. In March, Perrin and Harlot stood at #2 in the Women’s Tag Team contender’s rankings and took on The Pinups in a #1 contender’s match. They came up short and soon after things unraveled pretty quick between the two and here they were again.
Match Highlights:
-Harlot reverses a waistlock and hits a spinning neckbreaker on Eva. Harlot lifts Eva and power slams her to the mat. Cover… 1… 2… kickout by Eva.
-Eva blocks a suplex attempt… back heel kick. She hooks the leg… 1… 2… No! Harlot kicks out. Perrin with an enziguri… Harlot down. Cover… 1 – 2 – NO! 2.9999999.
-Eva walks into a spinning heel kick and Harlot goes to cover. But Perrin’s husband Colonel John Perrin has climbed up onto the apron! Harlot stands up and goes over to him. Eva attacks Harlot from behind and rolls her up. 1… 2… NO! Harlot kicks out late. Eva sets… THE OVERTHROW! Cover… 1… 2… THREE!
WINNER: Eva Perrin
Hall’s Comments:
-With the Descamisados at ringside, Eva Perrin wrestled a strong match.
-Harlot made one big mistake- letting Colonel Perrin get into her head.
-Big win for Eva. Post-match, Harlot’s White Trash Posse (Shayne and Jaxson) hit the ring but were repelled by Perrin’s Descamisados so we’ll see where this goes from here.

Back from break, it’s time for our next recap from Wrestling Night in America.
‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin © vs Yosemite Samantha for the MVW Women’s Heartland Title
‘The Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ has experienced a revival in her career. She became a four-time Women’s Heartland Champion after winning the title back from Yosemite Samantha over two months ago.
Working her way back from a bad injury that took out of action for several months, Yosemite Samantha has won the Women’s Heartland Title twice this year defeating Tess for the title earlier this year. Tess won the title back from her two weeks later and then successfully defended the title against Yosemite Samantha twice since.
Match Highlights:
-Tessa Martin ducks a clothesline attempt. Forearm to the face to Samantha. Chop by Tess on Samantha. Roll up… 1… 2… kickout by Yosemite Samantha.
-Yosemite Samantha counters a sleeper hold by turning it into a jaw breaker. Running senton by YS.
-Tess hits a belly to belly off the top rope. Samantha gets folded up big time. She waits. YS up… boot to the gut…Pizza Cutter!!! Roll up… 1… 2… THREE!
WINNER AND STILL WOMEN’S HEARTLAND CHAMPION: Tessa Martin
Hall’s Comments:
-Yosemite Samantha came out the way she always does- fast and furious.
-Tess withstood the early pressure and used her experience to outlast “The roughest, toughest, rootinest, shootinest cowgirl who ever crossed the Rio Grande”
-Tess maintains her hold on the Women’s Heartland title with the win.
Ricky Stevens © vs ‘Rock Star’ Robbie Marrs for the MVW Heartland Title
Scott Stevens’s younger brother has found his way in Missouri Valley Wrestling with an impressive run up the rankings, a win over Ken Kardoucheian saw Ricky Stevens take his place at the top of the Heartland Division.
‘Rock Star’ Robbie Marrs has lived up to the name in the early days of his MVW career. He defeated Darin Zion to win the Men’s Heartland title but lost the belt two weeks later to Ken Kardoucheian. Marrs lost a match to regain the title against Stevens but now he’s back looking for gold for a second time.
Match Highlights:
-Ricky blocks a punch. Ricky uses a basement dropkick to the knee. Super frankensteiner on Rock Star, who hit hard. There’s a two count on the pin.
-Robbie Marrs ducks a clothesline attempt… hits a high kick on Ricky. Cover… 1… 2… No, second kick-out.
-Ricky kicks Robbie Marrs in the gut to reverse the momentum. Stevens moves in for the kill. Dead and Buried!!! That shook the ring. 1… 2… 3!!
WINNER AND STILL MEN’S HEARTLAND CHAMPION: Ricky Stevens
Hall’s Comments:
-A very competitive match. Stevens and Marrs battled back and forth for over fifteen minutes.
-Marrs put up a good battle but Ricky Stevens seized the initiative late to hold on to the title.
-Stevens is now two for two in his title defenses.
The Hanson Sisters (Andrea and Melissa Hanson) © vs Missouri Valley Fight Club (Harley Davisson/Carrieanne McDermott) for the MVW Women’s Tag Team Title
A match between two teams who’ve experienced massive ups and massive downs over the past year. Women’s Tag Team Champions The Hanson Sisters found themselves out of the top contender’s rankings and wondering what to do. Then Coach Reg came along and changed their fortunes.
The Missouri Valley Fight Club nearly fell apart last year but Molly Hatchett came along and patched up Carrieanne McDermott and Harley Davisson’s frayed relationship. Hatchett cracked the whip and the MVFC responded by winning their fourth tag team title. But then the Hansons helped The Pinups win back the belts from Davisson and McDermott and took the belts themselves a month and a half later.
Both teams do not like each other and this has all the earmarks of an out and out war in the making.
Match Highlights:
-Carrieanne McDermott hits a punch, but takes one right back from Andrea Hanson as both throw heavy bombs at the beginning of the match. Andrea gets a body slam on McDermott and covers… 1… 2… kickout by McDermott. –
Harley Davisson is pounding away on Melissa Hanson in the corner. Whip to the ropes by Davisson… Melissa comes back right into a spike slam. Davisson covers… 1 – 2 – NO! Melissa kicks out at 2.9999999.
-*WHACK* hockey stick shot by Melissa while the referee was distracted. McDermott staggers right into a … SUPERKICK BY ANDREA HANSON! Andrea rolls her up… 1… 2… THREE!
WINNER AND STILL WOMEN’S TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: The Hanson Sisters
Hall’s Comments:
-Under Coach Reg, The Hanson Sisters have managed to ‘refine’ their wrestling style without losing their wide-open hockey brawling ways and that was on display at Wrestling Night in America.
-The MVFC got hit early, often, and repeatedly throughout the match and they just got worn down by the Women’s Tag Team Champions.
-The Hansons pick up their biggest MVW win to date.
The Stevens Dynasty (Bo and George Stevens with Cary Stevens) © vs Kentucky Redneck Mafia (Cletus T. Johnson/Enos T. Johnson with ‘Cousin’ Ginny Van Lear) for the MVW Tag Team Titles)
A little speed bump called the Kabal of Really Awful People kept Cary Stevens’s boys from the title in their first attempt against the Dark Overlords of Wrestling. In Normal, Illinois in May, The Stevens Dynasty wouldn’t be denied and put an end to the Dark Overlord’s hold on the Men’s Tag Team belts.
The Kentucky Redneck Mafia came into this match on a run after defeating the Kardoucheian Empire in a decisive win last week. Cletus T. Johnson and Enos T. Johnson are back on track and the Kentucky Redneck Mafia are united once again. Could the KRM end the Stevens Dynasty’s title run? Or would Bo and George Stevens continue their domination over the Men’s Tag Team Division.
Thunderbolt steps in and says we’ll have the match highlights right after this commercial break.

Back from break for the Stevens Dynasty-Kentucky Redneck Mafia highlights.
Match Highlights:
-Various clips of Cletus and Enos nearly pinning Bo Stevens multiple times in the first five minutes of the match.
-A clip of ‘Cousin’ Ginny Van Lear nearly decapitating Bo Stevens with a stiff martial arts kick… then George Stevens nearly Van Lear’s head off with a sick looking Texas Lariat that flipped her in 450 degrees in the air before she crashed hard to the mat.
-Forearm to the face from Bo to Enos… knee lift by Bo who hooks the leg… 1.. 2.. Enos kicks out. Bo rakes Enos in the eyes and tags out to George Stevens. George hits a clubbing right. Bo and George whip Enos into the ropes and hit a double backdrop… George covers… 1… 2… Enos gets a shoulder up.
-Enos fights out of a grapple with Bo and hits a nice Death Valley Driver. Enos covers… 1… 2… NO! Bo gets a shoulder up late.
-Cletus slams Bo down. Wild right hand by Bo misses and Cletus cuts him down with a big clothesline. Cover… 1… 2… NO! George makes the save! All four men in the ring and it’s a brawl.
-Forearm to the face from Bo on Cletus. Cletus staggers back and tags in Enos. Amateur-style takedown from Bo and he locks in in the Texas Cloverleaf on Enos. Cletus back in the ring and knocks Bo off. George in the ring and powerbombs Cletus. Bo pulls Enos up… ROLLING CUTTER! Cover… 1… 2… THREE!
WINNER AND STILL MEN’S TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: The Stevens Dynasty
Hall’s Comments:
-What a great match. This turned out to be an absolute war between two teams who aren’t afraid to brawl.
-‘Cousin’ Ginny Van Lear made an impact early for the Kentucky Redneck Mafia. But after George nearly killed her with that lariat, she was effectively eliminated out of the picture.
-Bo and George kicked it up a couple gears and imposed themselves on the Johnson boys.
-In the end, Cletus and Enos gave it everything they had but Bo and George were just too much.
Five matches down. Two to go.
MAIN EVENT #1-Shizuko Yamazaki © vs Victoria McGill for the MVW Women’s Title
Shizuko Yamazaki burst upon the scene in June of 2019 when she destroyed Ninja Kitty at the American Heartland pay per view show. Whispers around the locker room talked about someone who was impulsive and impatient but when she decided to heed her father’s advice and choose her own path, Yamazaki finally came into her own. After battling the invincible Graysie Parker for the Women’s Title, she set her sights on Lisa Barbosa-Stevens and in January 2022 she finally made it to the top.
Tori’s road to this point of time also had a lot of ups and downs. She’s won the Women’s Heartland Title three times but being the daughter of Dawn McGill proved to be a lot harder to live up to than she thought. After taking some time away from MVW to figure a few things out, Tori returned more assured of herself, won the Women’s Heartland title for a fourth time and held it for over five months. Then she jumped up to the Women’s Division and steadily moved up the rankings. Tori’s oh for two against Yamazaki for the title. Will the third time be the charm?
Match Highlights:
-Shizuko arm drags Tori down. She follows with a back heel kick and hooks the leg… 1… 2- Tori kicks out strong.
-Bodyslam by Yamazaki followed by a series of martial arts kicks. Tori drops to a knee. KNEE LIFT. Tori down. Yamazaki hooks the leg… 1… 2… kickout by McGill. Face-first suplex by Yamazaki. Cover… 1… 2… no… last second kick-out by Tori
-Tori kicks Shizuko Yamazaki in the gut to reverse the momentum. Tori slapped on a front facelock to slow Yamazaki down. Yamazaki leverages Tori to get to the ropes. After the break, Tori spears Yamazaki and takes a gutwrench hold… GUTWRENCH FACEBUSTER… Cover… 1… 2…3-NOOO Yamazaki somehow had the presence of mind to grab on to the bottom rope.
-McGill slams Shizuko down and she’s in control of the match now. Snap suplex by Tori. She runs the ropes and cuts down Yamazaki with a running clothesline. Tori slams Shizuko Yamazaki down. counters a backdrop attempt with a kick to the face. Yamazaki is in trouble and Tori sets and waits. GUTWRENCH FACEBUSTER! ROLL UP… 1… 2… THREE… NEW CHAMPION!
WINNER AND *NEW* WOMEN’S CHAMPION: Victoria McGill
Post-Match Highlights
-Tori kneels on the mat nearly in tears as referee Corrina Romanov handed her the Women’s Title belt. Jill Berg Enterprises (Lisa Barbosa-Stevens, ‘Canadian Cyborg’ Sheline Carrigan, and Prisoner #034291)- Tori’s former faction (she was the ‘Face of JBE’)- then attacked her bringing out Tori’s mother (and MVW Hall of Famer) Dawn McGill AND The Hanson Sisters (Andrea, Charissa, and Melissa) with Coach Reg (aka Regina McGill- Tori’s aunt) to make the save.
Hall’s Comments:
-Not much to say here. Like Shizuko Yamazaki, Tori McGill took a long and winding road to get to the top of the Women’s Division.
-Yamazaki tried to push the tempo early on but she couldn’t find the finishing combination to put McGill away.
-Once Tori took firm control of the match, she methodically wore down Yamazaki and hit a second Gutwrench Facebuster to take out what fight Yamazaki had left. McGill rolled her up and ended Yamazaki’s five month run as the champion.
-Obviously, Jill Berg Enterprises and Tori McGill will be at odds with each other going forward.
VICTORIA McGILL INTERVIEW
Inside the ring at the MVW TV studio, Kellie Burkowski talks with the new Women’s Champion.
McGill’s Comments:
-Winning the title is the highlight of her career. She’s worked hard for this moment and she can’t believe it finally happened.
-She’s more annoyed than upset with Jill Berg Enterprises attacking her after the match. Tori knows that JBE’s put a huge target on her back and she’s ready for them.
-Tori puts over former champion Shizuko Yamazaki. She’s very aware that Yamazaki is not going away anytime soon and she’s sure they will meet again soon.
One hour down. Thirty to go. Back with the second main event from Wrestling Night in America after these commercial messages.

Back from break. It’s time to recap the second main event of the night.
Adam Ellis © vs ‘Redneck’ Bill Dickinson for the MVW Men’s Title
Ellis and Dickinson have history. After Dickinson took exception of Adam’s association with HOW’s John Sektor and made him pay over and over, Ellis with Sektor in his corner, went to war with Dickinson inside a steel cage at MVW’s Night of Champions and the ‘330 Pound Southern Brawler’ (Dickinson) barely emerged the victor. Ellis went on to have a great 2022 winning HOW’s Tag Team title at March to Glory with Sektor and then returned to MVW and defeated John O’Reilly for the title in May.
Dickinson struggled early on in 2022 and dropped down the rankings. But then he snapped out of it last month and defeated J.J. Bittinger, John O’Reilly, and then Captain Jack to set up this match with his former arch-enemy Adam Ellis.
Can Ellis solidify his hold on the Men’s title and prove to Dickinson and the world that he is a worthy Men’s champion?
Will Dickinson’s experience and toughness win the day?
Match Highlights:
-Dickinson pushes out of an Adam Ellis hold and belts him with a right hand. Another right hand. Ellis staggers right into a big body slam. Cover… 1… 2… Ellis kicks out.
-Lefts and rights by Dickinson send Ellis careening across the ring. Boot to the gut… DDT by Dickinson. Cover… 1… 2… NO! Ellis gets a shoulder up but it’s all Bill Dickinson early on.
-Dickinson continues to pursue Ellis… Ellis kicks him in the gut. Basement dropkick to the knee. Flying hurricanrana DDT from the top rope plants Dickinson to the mat. Cover… 1… 2… No…last second kick-out by Dickinson.
-Redneck backdrops Adam Ellis out of a piledriver attempt. Nice piledriver on Ellis. Pinfall attempt gets a 2.9999. Ellis ducks a wild right hand. Drop toehold. Dickinson to a knee… *SMACK* SHINING WIZARD BY ELLIS! Dickinson down. Ellis tries for a STO but Dickinson fights out of it. Basement dropkick by Ellis. He runs the ropes… SUPERMAN PUNCH. COVER! 1… 2… THREE!
WINNER AND STILL MEN’S CHAMPION: Adam Ellis
DARIN ZION CHALLENGES ELLIS
Thunderbolt introduces highlights from Darin Zion’s recent statements concerning the new MVW Men’s Champion after HOW’s Chaos 3 show.
-Zion calls him Adam Elvis and wants to know ‘who the fuck is that kid?’ Zion says he stands out above this Alvin Elvis kid because he put his faith and trust into John Sektor.
Darin Zion: You know, the HOW Hall of Famer I PERSONALLY RETIRED! Don’t let HOW revisionist history get in the way. I RETIRED SEKTOR PERSONALLY with his shitty effort going into War Games. I broke his shoulder down. I ruined him by giving him a dose of TOUGH LOVE.
=Zion adds if Ellis wants the LOVE GURU’s attention he’s gotta put something up. Something GOLD AND SHINY. Zion wants the opportunity to christen his waist with the most valuable prize in professional wrestling. If Ellis wants to take a chunk out of REAL LOVE’S hide for putting the HOW roster on notice, he can step into the ring with Darin Zion at Dead or Alive…but only if MVW Men’s Championship on the line.
RAY McAVAY CONFIRMS

-Yamazaki did not relinquish her #1 contender’s status without a fight.
-Barbosa-Stevens outlasted Yamazaki and finally caught her charging in late with the Toxic Sting.
-Barbosa-Stevens is now in position to claim her 5th Women’s title in two weeks if she can find a way to defeat Women’s Champion Victoria McGill.
